If they try to bend their arm it pinches and leaves bruises
It helped us solve the problems we were having. but I will say my child is a little more stubborn than most. She would bend her arm to try and escape from them and it would end up pinching her and left really nasty bruises on her skin. I solved this by putting a long sock under the bracer, so that it would pinch the sock instead of her skin. Probably works best for children who are not INTENTIONAL thumb suckers.
