Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, 1 Fl oz

I hardly ever leave reviews, but whoa, this works. It smells awful from the camphor and make sure you read the instructions to NOT shake the bottle, but so impressed. It calmed down the beginnings of a cluster of hormonal acne after just a few nights. There's still some small red bumps for now, but the skin is dry, intact, and easy to cover with some concealer. I feel like I fast forwarded past what is usually 2 weeks of trying to hide and heal blemishes. I've tried a lot of OTC remedies, and this is the best by far!

I've been using the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for years, and it's still one of my go-to products whenever I have a breakout. It works just as well as I remember, so I was excited to finally try the version with the drying patches. The patches were a pleasant surprise. They're incredibly transparent, so they're barely noticeable while wearing them, which is perfect if you don't want an obvious pimple patch on your face. The only downside is that they can be a little stubborn to remove in the morning, but I've found that using a little makeup remover helps take them off easily. I'll definitely keep buying this combo. The drying lotion is a tried-and-true favorite, and the patches are a great addition for anyone looking for a more discreet option.

Smell is slightly strong. Can stink if blemish open even a little. Does great at drying out.

So while this MARIO BADESCU Drying Lotion (1 fl oz) with DRYING PATCH (12 patches) is pricey, it totally works quickly on any blemish. Sure, you could DIY your own for less, but when you get an unexpected pimple all you want is for it to be gone as soon as possible. Just make sure to not mess with it other than applying this stuff every so often. You can alternate with the patches while you're sleeping. (Since the set with the small pack of patches is the same price as just the bottle, not sure why anyone would get the version that essentially doesn't have the bonus patches.) Scent-wise, this is not your nice smelling spa stuff, but it's effective. If you're familiar with calamine lotion, this is like that but with an added kick. One bottle will last you a while, but just make sure you're not just patting it onto your whole face as this stuff literally dries things out. Keep your application targeted to what you're trying to get rid of.

I’ve been a huge fan of Mario Badescu for years. Love many of his products but this drying lotion is one of my top favorites!! It’s my go to if I have a pimple that I want gone fast. I apply this overnight and the next morning it’s cleared up! Stuff is amazing!!

Me encanta este producto de Mario Badescu. Lo uso cuando me aparece algún granito y siento que ayuda a que se vea más pequeño y menos inflamado. Se aplica fácilmente y es perfecto para usar como tratamiento localizado durante la noche. Después de usarlo, mi piel se siente más limpia y los brotes se ven mucho mejor. ¡Es un producto que definitivamente recomiendo para piel con tendencia al acné! Así luce mi piel 😍
