This is the exact same thing that I get from my med supply store using my insurance. However I have a $1000 deductible and this is much faster, cheaper and I don’t have to deal with customer service. Just click and buy. I wear a bipap with VERY high pressures. The F20 is definitely the mask for me and I started with the silicone shell/insert. I have oily skin and between that and my pressures, I never made it more than 3-4hrs without having to wash my face and clean the shield again. When I found this one I was instantly intrigued but had doubts as to how a piece of foam would seal. It worked the very first time all night long. No waking to wash my face and mask. I use the cleaning wipes to clean mine. They’re fast and effective. According to the booklet it comes with it has a 28 day life. So you change it for a new one monthly basically. I have found that the tighter it is on my nose the faster the foam tears there. That is generally what happens when it’s time to replace it for me or it gets harder and harder to seal. I can always tell when it’s getting close to time for a new one. The foam splits right where it lays on the bridge of your nose. I DO NOT change mine automatically every 28 days. Sometimes I might get 30-40 days out of it but sometimes it’ll tear before 28 days. I CANNOT sleep without my bipap. So I usually buy 2 at a time and then always have a backup. It has been useful. It also says in the book not to soak the foam when cleaning it. I’m not usually a Manual Reader but I was trying to find a lifespan thus the info I just shared. If you’re like me and it’s not lasting a full 28 days, are you getting the foam wet or soaked at all? It causes the foam to break down sooner would be my guess as to why they discourage submerging it or running water on it in the manual. Even some of my wipes especially towards the end of the container will be so soaked compared to when it’s full that I actually have to squeeze the excess out before using it. I don’t find the cost to be that high. In fact ordering here is what $22 each and if I order thru my med supply store and insurance is charged the cost is $40+ and then I still pay part of that due to my high deductible. So much more worth it to do it here and bypass all that nonsense. Just FYI my pressures are 27/24. I know saying high doesn’t really help much as it’s not comparable to your actual numbers. Last thing I’ll say is on whether it leaves marks like the silicone versions and the answer is Yes. It was slightly less but still left marks. My straps do to but again with the higher pressures, I have to wear it pretty tight. It’s a minuscule price to pay for a night of sleep that doesn’t have me waking up multiple times an hour suffocating. Also, they go away even faster if I apply a cold wash cloth to my face for a couple mins after waking up. Hopefully this info will help you out. Size and fit are great. I have facial hair which can make it tricky to get a good seal with most face masks. This is one of the few options that I found to work well for me. Comfortable material. The foam is thick enough to be effective but not bulky. Only reason I knock it down a bit is because if/when the foam gets wet is can get crusty and or break down so you need to replace it sooner. Bummer for me as at times I drool a bunch.

Expensive but worth the cost for fit and comfort

The foam cushion makes all the difference. Minimal face discomfort and fewer leaks. This is the third mask that I have tried after experiencing massive leaks, face pain, facial dents and skin irritation using the hard plastic masks that did not have the foam cushion. Like all masks, it takes getting used. This is a game changer. Note: Must use disposable CPAP wipes to clean; mask must not get wet. This mask must be replaced more often than the hard plastic mask. Manufacturer recommends monthly replacement; however, I replace mine every three weeks. My Insurance limits the frequency on which it will pay for this mask so I’m out of pocket somewhat buying the mask every three weeks. It is worth it. I almost gave up using the machine until I found this mask. My apnea episodes have gone from 55 per hour to four per hour so I’m finally getting some sleep! Amazon offers the best price and it’s even less $ because I subscribe. Be sure to get the correct size mask! Many mask brands provide a simple easy to use paper measuring tool that measures the width of the nose. Your prescribing doctor should also have this tool. ALSO, make sure you have the proper fitting headgear!

Hit or miss. If you get one and it's sealed plastic rips instead of coming off smoothly from the mask's protective holder, it won't be a good experience. Somewhere these get stored in a hot warehouse or something. The glue becomes brittle and moisture gets sucked out of the packaging, which causes the adhesive of the mask to detach from the cushion and it goes downhill from there. At $50 or more per mask, you'd expect to get more than a few days of use, but the batches that have been exposed to heat (at least half of mine) have cost me several hundred dollars over the course of a few months because they are ineffective after a few days. The containers that open easily and peel off normally are good and I love using it, but I can't keep spending this kind of money on inconsistent quality and care.

Fits perfectly and my sister says it is so much better now she has some cushioning on her mask. The seal is great and it has lasted so much longer than the ones provided. Has stopped her skin irritation and her compliance to wear the mask has improved as it’s now more comfortable.
