Use on a HARD floor, this is true with any digital scale. If you read through reviews of this scale, or dozens of other similar scales, you'll see LOTS of people giving them 1 star for being wildly inaccurate, varying each time you step on it, even seconds apart, yada yada. This is what happens on linoleum floors, which is why digital scale manufacturers recommend not using them on such floors. Use on tile or wood, or even concrete should you have concrete floors in your house (hey, I'm not judging). I tested this. If I could show it in pictures I would. It was VERY accurate, wife & I both stepped on & off it a dozen times each and it read the exact same weight each time on our wood floor. We take it to our bathroom with a linoleum floor- it reads something different each time we step on it, as much as 5 lbs off each step. Linoleum , although it seems like a hard floor, is soft to the little feet that are on the bottom of the scale. It squishes a little, and these scales are affected by this, even though you can't tell. This is why it's important to read manuals and ensure you're doing everything right before leaving a review. It's a minor nuisance knowing we can't use it in our bathroom, but that's not the fault of any scale, that's the fault of our flooring choice. Now, as to the scale itself. Looks sharp, grey underneath the glass top. Almost looks like its stainless steel. I kinda wanted a stainless steel one, but there's only a couple out there. This sorta looks the part. Instant on as soon as you step and it only maybe 2-3 seconds to settle on your weight. The screen is large and has a nice blue backlight which comes on with every reading. It goes off after about 5 seconds after locking in a number it seems like. Visible in both bright sunlight and darkness of course. There's a switch on the back bottom to change from lbs to kg. There's a battery door that hold 3 AAAs. (I like this because some scales use the round 2032 nickel-sized batteries, which you have to buy. I have lots of rechargeable AA & AAA batteries so I happen to prefer using these type since you only buy them once.) If you pick the scale up and move it, it may give you a slightly off reading, but then when you step off you may see a "C" on the screen for a couple seconds. This is it calibrating itself. Then, the weight is back to exactly what it said before, ONLY on a hard surface like tile or wood though, NOT linoleum, I cant stress this enough. This scale does NOT store users' weights, and does not do the BMI & fat% thing. It reads a number when you stand on it, that's it. This is exactly what I wanted. Too many bells & whistles and there's too many things to wonder about their accuracy. This is a one trick pony but it does it well and is reliable. Review: I rely on it more than the hospital scales. Ha! - This is a very accurate digital scale. Very thin and streamlined. I expect it to last for years to come. I love that it is digital and that once the weight stops fluctuating and locks in the digital numbers will blink a few times to tell you that it's finished weighing you. It's so accurate I can measure the weight of my cats. I weigh myself and step off. I pick up a cat and hold it to my chest, (thankfully they don't fight or I wouldn't get a good reading, and then subtract the 1st reading from the second and I know how much my cats weigh. Is this perfect for weighing your animals? No, but it gives a great idea. I replaced an old analog scale with this. I love the digital readout much more than guessing what the numbers the needle is closest to on an analog scale. Oh, and if you want your kilograms or ASM ... just switch it over on the bottom. A+++

I rely on it more than the hospital scales. Ha!

Accurate and sturdy!
Finally the perfect scale. I've had bad luck with plastic type scales, and this glass scale is sturdy and reliable. It's accurate and you don't have to tap it first to turn it on. I've had it for over a month, and my whole family uses it. There are 8 of us, so you can imagine the use we put it to. It's already outlasted one I paid way more for. I would buy this scale again if I had to, I'm that pleased with it

Terribly inaccurate
The positive is that the scale looks great, and is easy to read. The negative is that if we weigh ourselves 5 times in a row we get 5 totally different weights that aren't even close to each other. It's actually pretty funny, because at one point I managed to lose nearly 100 pounds without dieting, in only a matter of minutes. This is an update. After a day or two the scale seems to have gotten over its tantrums, and now appears to be both accurate and consistent. I have no idea why it was so erratic initially, but it works well now.

weighing scale
This scale is small and convenient, with great quality and appearance. You can record your weight changes every day in the bedroom. The price is still reasonable!

Best digital scale out there
This is the only digital scale ive used that is spot on every time. All others give different readings every time you step on it. And they are correct. Worth every cent!

Big paperweight after a few months
At first it worked decently well. But after only a few months, it became totally worthless & unreliable. Every time the scale has a different measure of weight. Disappointed.
