Great product but shipping charges were high.
Great product. Not sure why they aren't available in Australia. I was disappointed in the shipping charges from the USA as they would consolidate my two orders.

Greased Lightning!
I've had mixed results with the Home Depot variety of "teflon" sliders before. Most often, they consist of a thin polyethylene cup with a piece of foam tape for adhesion. Not these. The first thing I noticed is that they are made of a thick hard brown core with a bonded poly sliding surface on one side and a "Gorilla glue" adhesive on the other. There is no foam tape to tear apart. Assuming you have a clean smooth surface to put them on, they're likely to stay on for the ages. The 1.2" square is perfect for most upholstery furniture too. I put these on a HEAVY sofa with six legs and was amazed at how improved it became to slide around a carpeted floor! They are gentle on the carpet and will help save that expensive Persian for the next generation.Time will tell how well they hold up, but first impression is a good one.

Probably Ok if you have bare wooden chair leg bottoms.
I used these to replace the polymer studs on the bottom of my kitchen table chairs, expecting to get some improvement in ease of movement. I was disappointed. The existing studs were about 1/2 inch round and made of (probably) polypropylene. Not too bad. I thought teflon at 1 inch would be an improvement on carpet. In this case it is not. The reason (probably) is that the 1" teflon replacements add a significantly larger edge area in contact with the carpet. Sure, the material may be more slick, but the amount of edge (outer radius and inner radius) is significantly greater. While the outer radius is rounded, the inner radius (where the screw goes) is not. This edge grabs the carpet.I'm going to replace these with 1" teflon nail on studs. These will not have the sharp inner radius edge.Hope this made sense.

Far superior to other glides we tried.
Our kitchen floor is vinyl tile with a textured surface. I tried both solid plastic glides and felt glides on our kitchen chairs with very poor results. I bought the Teflon glides out of sheer desperation. They are a 100% improvement over the other products. Sliding a chair on the floor, even with my full weight on it, is easy. The chair moves smoothly and doesn't feel like it's dragging on the tile. This is a really good product. You do need to be able to drill into the furniture leg to install the glides as they are held in place with a small wood screw.

Easy install. Work great.
Glad to find these hard plastic sliders for my dining room chairs on tile floor. No more scratching and marring on my chair legs or the floor and these slide nicely, with just enough lift and not sticky at all. Remember 4 per chair, so order the number of sets you need to place on your entire set of chairs.Quick and Easy installation. Recommend using a drill because 4 per chair would otherwise take a while.Very satisfied after several months of use.
