Create a piece of heaven in your garden with hummingbirds
If you love hummingbirds, there are three letters to describe them: OMG. Who wouldn't want those magnificent feathers in their garden or the beautiful outdoor space they have, a backyard for instance? Well, with a little bit of practice explained in this book, you can have that possible. Furthermore, if you want to learn more about hummingbirds (and they're definitely not the simple creatures we may think they are) with their buzzing wings and sweet tiny shape, you can. They have a lot more complex lives. All these details are explained in the prefix of the book, and then you get practical advice and how to build your own feeders, what to put in them, and how to get those little devils in your backyard.I never knew hummingbirds were such fascinating creatures. The book will explain their seasonal flights to north and south, the most common species found in North America, the migration roadmap, and the exact times they fly over the continent. What else is there? Mating, nesting, baby hummingbirds, and preparing nectar. There is also a problem-solving section with helpful tips about Which flowers are functional to attract hummingbirds.Lovely photos of real birds at the end of the book or a welcome bonus.

Great for anyone who enjoys these birds
Attracting Hummingbirds: How to Design Backyard Environments Using Feeders and Flowers by Daniel I Stein is a great book for anyone who is looking to create a world that is perfect for hummingbirds around their home. My daughter really wanted to have more hummingbirds around. So, I hung a couple of feeders and we saw a few, but she wanted more. So, I did some reading and found lots of flowers that I could easily grow and plant around my house that would attract the birds and keep them coming back. If you are new to hummingbirds, this is a perfect read. It is easy to follow and gives you step-by-step instructions to get everything up and running. I really enjoyed the information on what not to give to them. Many of the store-bought items you can find are not good for the birds, so I appreciated the heads up on that.

Good Hummingbird Guide
I saw a hummingbird the other day at a friend's house in town and wondered why I never saw any near me. I live in the countryside and the flowers I have planted in my yard were recommended for hummingbirds, but I've never seen a single one. I picked up this book looking for more information on how to attract them, specifically looking at ruby-throated ones, which I've seen elsewhere in the area. This book was a good resource for learning about the migratory patterns, feeders, and protection of these tiny creatures. There was a lot of great information and gorgeous pictures as well as bonus tips on things like photography. I enjoyed it but I'm still not sure how to get the hummingbirds to visit my yard when next they migrate next. Even with all the right plants and feeder conditions at the right time of year, I'm having no luck. Overall, a good source, but I wish there was more FAQs to help me figure out why my yard is no good.

Well-deserved five stars!
Attracting Hummingbirds by Stein is one of those books that come in handy to people looking for different things, whether they actually want to attract hummingbirds in their backyard, want to add some life to their apartment or just get some knowledge on them.Way too informative, this book is informative and the knowledge it contains is real and of good quality. The best flowers, plants, and trees to attract and support hummingbirds are mentioned here and this info is backed up by pictures that make it easier for me to identify the different types of birds. After reading this book, I asked myself 'why did you purchase it?’, the reason may be that I just moved into my new house which has a backyard and I suddenly started being interested in things related to the household and how to make a house feel more like ‘home’. Well-deserved five stars!

Perfect for Making Your Yard as Vibrant as Ever
The sun is shining brightly. Flowers are blooming for the second time of the year, bumblebees are buzzing all around, and birds are trampling the soil beneath my rose bushes. Summer has just begun. This time of the year brings about many fond memories of watching my aunt artistically and strategically place hummingbird feeders all over her backyard. Hummingbirds showing off a myriad of bright colors would come near and far to feed together. Their little wings would buzz past my little ponytails, and they’d flit back and forth between each feeder, drinking their fill before taking off again. My aunt would have shelves packed with all sorts of books on various types of birds and I’d curiously flip through them, wondering, “How did she accomplish all of this?” My aunt tried to educate me on how to attract hummingbirds, and I’d follow her instructions and fail repeatedly. She would laugh and say that attracting hummingbirds was far more than having a feeder full of sweet water; she encouraged me to consider the visual environment that would appeal to a hummingbird. That was many years ago and my aunt has since transitioned to another life. But this book revitalized so many memories of the lessons she taught me. If you want to see magic suddenly spring up in your yard, this book will help you see it through. Whether you have limited space, few flower species, or even a cat, you can make your space as vibrant as the summer.

Wonderful book.
“Attracting Hummingbirds” is an amazing book packed with invaluable information, which provided me with lot of guidance and help about these little birds. To be totally honest, when I saw that it contained so few pages, I thought it was going to be incomplete, but I was so happy to read it that it didn’t stop me. I’m glad because I was absolutely wrong. Seriously, the amount of information in such a compact piece is impressive and left me speechless.Among other important things, I learned not only how to attract them to my garden but also how to protect them from predators.I can't recommend this book enough for those who, like me, want to see these small creatures flying around.
