Advanced Custom Painting Techniques

Too basic, not much real information.

I love this book, to bad did not have a glossary of the vocabulary used on it. Many of the words that are use are compleatly new and unfamiliar to a person new to auto painting. So you go wondering what is he talking about. I respectfully suggest a vocabulary glossary and I will give it 5 stars. Will buy it again if glossary is included on a new edition.

Of the books that I've bought on painting, this one is my favorite. Good section on setting up your HVLP gun. The author pretty much does a step by step of his paint procedure and illustrates it with color photos throughout! He covers equipment to color sanding. BUT this is NOT a book on how to do bodywork, He covers prep and painting.

I have a lot experience in autobody and painting. Therefore I can recognize an expert painterwhen I see one. Believe me Jon Kosmoski is among the best. Even better than me.This is one of the best books on auto painting I've seen worth every penny.

Nice manual that includes a multitude of basic tips and tricks to tackling that custom painting project. Nice vivid and colorful illustrations.

Very dated book and material. Just go to youtube and watch the Gunman, infinitely better.

Love is a book full of information for those intrested in custom paint. I truly love the book, it has lots of cool designs and techniques.☝️

Very informative. Covers most of the up to date liquid - vehicle spray coatings for autos. Safety first, and environmentally friendly materials which I didn't have back in the late nineteen hundreds. Recommended for the car artist.

I was looking forward to reading this book but was a bit dissappointed when I did. The author definately knows his stuff but I feel he doesn,t get it over clearly.He assumes people who read his book have access to a spray booth and the latest kit which I don,t. I will use the info in the book but as I mentioned I was a little disappointed when I read it

everything you need know to get a great finish to make your bike look great very good value for money

Although the title is custom painting it contains mostly basic techniques. Not much on flakes, powder pearl additives, or any other advanced techniques, so I was a little disappointed in that. There is a lot on basic prep, gun adjustment, and laying down paint. I was looking for something specifically about advanced custom painting. How set up your spray gun does not belong in a book called "Advanced Custom Painting Techniques." That belongs in beginners guide to painting. It is a good review and an excellent book for beginners.
