Good case but wish wheels and handles were sturdier.
This is a wonderful case with a really good fit and finish. I had to return mine as it just barely didn't fit in my trunk (I was able to get it in once but it was like completing a 5000 piece puzzle). I drive a 2015 Kia Cadenza which has a quite large trunk, I was just unable to get it in the trunk opening confidently. This was also a concern because if you rent a car you may have the same issues and you can't exactly take the clubs out and fold up the case. I would be concerned taking this case on trip with a rental car involved if there is more than two people going because the case may have to go in the back seat.Second issue. The hands and wheels are weak points that are cheaply made and designed to be replaced. Unfortunately the wheels are riveted on so you may have to do some drilling and construction to replace them if they break on you as noted in other reviews. The handles are held on by nylon bolts that can be easily replaced. The one thing I noticed that you may want to check when you get the case is the foam wasn't perfectly pressed down in my case. There was plenty of glue, I just pressed it down and it stuck nicely. I'm just stating this so you don't accidentally goof up the foam when using the first time.I actually really like the latches on this case. They appear to be made of a strong nylon that should probably last for life. The latches work extremely well and give me confidence that they won't pop open.I am going to order the standard case (non deluxe) and I believe that will fit in my car easier. The large hump in the bottom of the case is cumbersome and I don't need the extra space. I value my clubs and it appears SKB has good warranty service.Overall, I highly recommend this case if you value your clubs. It should last a long time and I think it will make flying or even traveling in a car with multiple bags a more worry-free experience. I would have given this case a 4 star rating but the warranty service appears good and the fit and finish is the best in this case category, so 5 stars it is.

Strong and Well Designed
I am a documentary photographer and am working on a project that will ultimately take me all over the world to capture certain portraits in difficult conditions. They are all being shot in front of a white muslin backdrop using natural light. I needed a durable case in which to carry the backdrop system, which includes a 20 by 10 foot muslin cloth, a folding metal frame to hold it up, a tarp to go under the muslin, a camera tripod, light reflectors and miscellaneous hardware. I saw this on Amazon and decided to give it a try.Well, a year later it has flown to various places in the US, France, Thailand, China (twice), Vietnam, India, Turkey and Italy without a hitch. It's been dragged by me and assistants over dirt, gravel, cobblestones, poorly-applied asphalt, and up and down stairs. It's been opened by TSA (and maybe its foreign equivalents) and relocked. It has been banged around in auto-rickshaws, SUVs of diverse construction, trucks and various other kinds of vehicles. And so far it is as good as new. And I have never had to pay an oversize or overweight fee.So, what more can I say? I just hope it continues to perform as well over the next year as it heads to Africa, Latin America, Canada, and the Middle East. If I can remember to update this review when the project is over, I will do so.BTW, on size I can say that I have carried this case in many small cars and taxis across the world. Sure, it won't fit in the trunk. But it WILL fit in the front passenger seat (like a passenger), with the seat leaned back, and pulled back slightly. You can then drive, and indeed you can carry up to two other people as well.UPDATE: April 14, 2017 -- Well, the field photography phase of the project is over, and the case still reigns supreme. It has now flown to every continent except Australia and Antarctica, and the only casualty is the lock, which I think was jimmied by some security guy who did not have a TSA key. But everything else is still working just fine, thank you, despite being dragged around Ethiopia, Senegal, South Africa, Colombia, Ecuador and a host of other countries. So what can I say....it sure as hell ought also to carry your golf clubs safely to St. Andrews or Pebble Beach!

Generally decent, not extraordinary.
First, I am not disappointed. ( The Large size) It fit my Callaway full size bag nicely. Tight, but solid. I used a couple of towels to wrap the irons and protect them from bouncing around during transport. The latches are pretty solid. The case is also solid, and will probably withstand the typical handling of baggage without damage. The handles are well placed, balanced to the load, and afford good maneuvering. Wheels seem ok, but this is my first use, so that’s a wear issue to be assessed later. The clamshell edges that come together as you close the case are framed in aluminum, and are pretty good at alignment, but not near perfect. Don’t think Pelican case, think bread box.The three aluminum hinges are attached to the plastic case with machine rivets, but that is the likely first failure after extended use, as they are not strong enough to withstand the repeated wear. Overall, I would say to protect a $2500.00 set of clubs, ($1000 irons, 599 +399+299 woods, etc) its worth it. Saw another traveler with the Samsonite case I had also considered. Maybe I’ll get paired with him and compare.
