Great backup camera kit
I am very pleased with this camera kit. I really prefer the camera image in the mirror over an image in the center of the dash like all newer cars have so I am glad I found this one. I installed it in a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback about 2 months ago and it has worked flawlessly since. Happy with the camera quality and mirror. The installation took me a few hours taking my time to remove trim pieces, etc to have a nice clean hidden install. The kit had everything I needed and more than enough wire length. The only issue I ran into during install is there is some sort of inline fuse plastic thing on the wire that goes to the reverse lights. Because I have a hatchback and the reverse lights are in the hatch portion this somewhat large inline plastic piece on the wire made it difficult to route and find a place for it to fit under the interior trim of the hatch. I wish this piece had been in a different location inline, maybe closer to the end of the wire, but everything worked out fine in the end.

Great backup camera - no extra screens on the dash.
This is a great option for someone who wants a backup camera, and wants it to look like it's original. The mirror was relatively easy to install with a little bit of time, and the backup camera functions exactly as intended. It turns on as soon as you go into reverse - no buttons to push. I have a full-sized pickup and there was more than enough wire to extend all the way to the rear. I would definitely recommend this camera.

Good quality overall. Only minor annoyances
I've used it for a few days now and think I've given it enough scenarios to see how it performs on a day to day basis. Giving it 4 stars based on the following reasons: Pros: really IS easy to install. Picture quality pretty good in most cases. Came with plenty of back up adapters and extra wires to ensure fit. Cons: There's a solid 2 second delay to turn on the camera. I thought I didn't really mind it on the first day. After several days, those 2 seconds can really start to feel long. Picture quality gets grainy at night, there's probably a mechanism in the camera that turns up ISO at night. It's not a big deal, Picture is still pretty good. Im not gonna dock them on that since getting good Pictures in any scenario is a tall order even for the engineers at Apple and samsung. Another reviewer said that on a sunny day the Picture gets washed out white. I was able to replicate that today. Unfortunately there's no setting to adjust for contrast or anything at all. I could still discern objects, just where the light hits gets all white.

feels like great quality
Im very happy with my purchase, installation was not hard at all and the quality of the camera is almost OEM The quality is very good and its easy to see, the image is crystal clear and at night its easy to see. I'd def recommend to other that dont want an extra screen on their windshield or on their dash, the rear view mirror screen is excellent.

I am delighted with this great backup mirror
I installed my new Auto-Vox T2 backup camera and mirror in my 2006 Honda Element, wired to the backup light for power. Everything functions perfectly and I am very happy, despite the work discussed below. One very important, inexpensive tool for installation is a cigarette lighter plug with a long cord ending in small alligator clips. Use this to power your Auto-Vox at every step of installation to make sure that you have not damaged a wire (or possibly Auto-Vox camera or mirror) before you proceed to the next step. At my local hardware store I bought a plug with 12' bare end cord for about $3, then crimped on a pair of alligator clips. Installation in the Honda Element is a substantial undertaking if you desire an elegant, OEM look (Honda's design issues, not Auto-Vox's). I found several YouTube videos for each stage of routing the cable from camera to mirror; each video described a single task taking from 1/2 hour to all day. Dismantling the tailgate was a straightforward job. However I did damage some plastic body panel snap connectors, since my vehicle is 13 years old. Replacements are readily available from Honda. Routing wires out of the tailgate to the body took an hour to figure the best path for threading the Auto-Vox resistor, with its cover removed, through the dismantled tailgate. I went through an existing, unused 3/4" rubber gasket by slitting the rubber enough for the thin Auto-Vox lead to slide in. The gasket is critical to prevent a bare metal edge from chafing through the wire by vehicle movement. Attaching power leads to the backup light power was the simplest part. Be sure to match your vehicle's wiring polarity to the clearly marked Auto-Vox power leads hot and ground. Your voltmeter will read 12+ volts when polarity is correct, or null if polarity is backward. All paths to completely hide the Auto-Vox cable from license plate frame to rearview mirror appear quite laborious - removing seats, interior side panels, sills, and driver's column cover, snaking from the column over to the mirror opening. Videos suggest a full day's work. I took a shorter, less elegant rout by tucking the cable under the edge of the headliner, along the driver's side weatherstripping. This is, after all, a sports UTILITY vehicle, so I can live with a little Gorilla tape here and there. I secured the standard Auto-Vox mirror base directly into the Element's 5Mx0.8 plastic threaded ceiling base, originally there just to keep the stock mirror from rotating, with a 90mm M5x0.8 machine screw and flat washer. This is not as sturdy as the original Honda mount but I think it should be ample for my non-abusive care of my 13 year old Element. Was all this work worth it? YES! I first purchased a wireless camera which was claimed to work with its own Android app. It did not. A lot more research lead me to the Auto-Vox T2. In the course of reading about many products I realized that a) using a wireless WiFi or Bluetooth camera, I would need either an additional screen on the dash or my phone mounted in its dash holder at all times; b) rear view would require me to activate the app; c) the view, if it worked, would require more head movement, not less, to see side mirrors, rear mirror, windows, and phone. So, after several days exiting parking spaces in sun, rain, and darkness, I am very happy with the Auto-Vox T2. It's automatic, immediate, right where I need to look, bright and clear. I recommend it highly.

worked intermittently when testing before installing and then went dead.
We are a professional auto shop and have over 25 years of experience. Product was dead on delivery. connected everything before installing and worked once, then didn't work again when powered on five times in a row, then worked one more time. Couldn't get it to work again after that. The screen would come one each time, but the image would not.

Plug-and-Play installation
Update:I rate their technical support as A+. Kaya, a technical support staff, went above and beyond to resolve my issue. She, in my view, is an exemplary customer service representative in terms of problem-solving abilities, flexibility and responsiveness. I received a reply to my question over the weekend, which is simply amazing. Initial Review The 370z view from the OEM rearview mirror is limited. It is hard to see what's immediately behind the car. My son and I decided to install a backup camera for safety reasons. He wanted to preserve the oem car stereo, and decided to replace the OEM rearview mirror with one that supports a backup camera instead of replacing the radio. We researched the market for an affordable, non-invasive, easy to install, compatible with the existing rearview mount, and has the look and feel of the OEM rearview mirror. The Auto-Vox T2 was our choice. It was just perfect for my son's z. The kit includes various mount adaptors to accommodate different car models, a backup camera, and a plug-and-play wiring harness. The harness removed any confusion on which wire goes where. We plugged one end of the harness into the mirror (the 5-pin connector) and the other end into the rearview camera (the 4-pin connector). We then connected the red wire (+12volts) to the backup light and the black wire to the car chassis. The kit includes a wiretap connector to connect the red wire to the wire that feeds the backup light. The harness provides power to both the camera and rearview mirror, so no additional wiring is required to power the mirror. We routed the harness through the car panels. The kit comes with a plastic trim tool to help remove the panels. We tested the system, especially the power and ground connections and wrapped electrical tape around the connectors. We watched several YouTube videos to learn how to route the wires from the back to the front of the car. That's it. The picture is crisp, and my son loves it.

Game changer. Glad I got this one!
Ive had this product about 6 months now. Honestly this thing surprised me! Put it on a 2013 f150 single cab long bed. If I remember right the cables barley made it. But I needed a review mirror and obviously dont mind a camera. BOOM! Perfect buy for me. I think the night time actually gives better quality. At night the camera quality is outstanding! Its also a game changer when hooking up to a trailer. 10/10 glad I got this. The rear view mirror is also excellent!

Not reliable
I gave them a 4 because their customer support was very good. Quick replacement and refund. The quality of the product isn't the best. It works for awhile then failed.

Easy installation
Liked the fact that the only power required was from reverse light tap

ONLY GOOD FOR A YEAR AND A HALF
Definitely not a durable camera works well for about a year and then starts to give trouble. Better off sticking with a name brand for longevity
