John Williams is a great composer and this songbook is worth having, I love hearing my son play all these songs.

I absolutely adore John Williams, and this book is a perfect comfort book for me to pull out at the piano. Some of the pieces in here are a little more advanced and will require practice, but most of them I found I could sightread - maybe in part to how much I have listened to his pieces!! (Side note: I have been playing for 15 years and frequently accompany; I am used to sight-reading. These pieces range from Intermediate to Early Advanced.) I only wish this book had the Theme from Sabrina, Love Theme from Superman, and Love Theme from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. With those exceptions (which is probably just me adoring those pieces) this book is fabulous and well-arranged! Highly recommend!

This has an incredible amount of songs - all but one I would ever want to play. My only disappointment was that it doesn't have the "Jurassic Park" theme (I'm talking about the end-credits fanfare). I also agree with other customers that the binding doesn't facilitate easy playing. But I never realized before just how incredibly complex, yet stunningly simple John Williams' music is. I've fallen even more deeply in love with his music as I (try to) play it!

This is a great compilation of John Williams movie music. That is the reason I bought it. The only problem is me... I am reasonably proficient at piano playing, but not a conservatory candidate. Most music in this collection I just admire... one doesn't realize the use of multiple meters within a song. One would expect this in late Romantic music up through the present day but the presented challenges to reading Mr. Williams music pose challenges beyond my abilities. If I had more years to work at it I would be better able to read this music.... but then the fingers!!!! I want this book in my library as a carrot for growth, but it will suffer from little use because of me NOT this book. Maestro Williams is one of the all-time great composers, regardless of genre. If you have the chops to play cover to cover, this is the book for you to immerse your self in advanced challenges as a musician!

Great book with plenty of pieces to play

Ho acquistato questo album per un regalo. Consegnato con una settimana di anticipo e con un imballaggio impeccabile. Consiglio questo rivenditore e poi che dire... John Williams è sempre un grande nel suo genere!!!

Avec un bon niveau de piano, ces partitions sont faciles à déchiffrer et à jouer, on peut se faire plaisir très rapidement. Un must have pour tout amateur des musiques de film de john williams. Quelques points négatifs : * un livre à spirales aurait été bien plus pratique * les morceaux sont souvent raccourcis, les thèmes principaux sont bien là mais les parties complémentaires sont absentes, c'est un peu dommage, mais compréhensible pour un livre qui compile quand même 40 morceaux * un peu trop simplifié à mon goût, pour quelqu'un qui a un niveau avancé de piano, une partition plus complexe réunissant plus de voix de l'orchestre aurait été souhaitable. Pour quelqu'un avec un niveau intermédiaire sera cependant parfait.
