This works exactly as advertised. It connected quickly to cell towers. Once the indicator light showed that, I tested its two main functions. First, I used the SOS button to call 911. The speaker was clear and neither I nor the 911 operator had difficulty understanding the conversation. Once the 911 operator closed out the test and we hung up, I deliberately dropped the device from waist high to a carpeted floor. It immediately announced that it detected a fall, and I canceled the 911 call by pressing the SOS button. It comes with a neck strap and special charger (not USB). The first battery charge lasted almost a week, and it recharged very quickly. All in all, this is well worth the money, especially considering there are no monthly fees.

I love mine. I wear it daily and Hit the button monthly to test it. I'm very pleased.

Works as advertised - except GPS system is not accurate enough to identify your location. Tried several times by calling 911 with device, and even after asking 911 operator to "re-transmit" as directed by Assistive Technology Services customer service- -closest they could get was about 6 city blocks! So, although the automatic fall detection function seems to work as advertised (I dropped the unit from about 2 feet onto a carpeted floor, and it automatically dialed 911), do not count on the device to send accurate enough location information to locate you if you ( or someone) are not able to provide that information verbally to the answering 911 operator. I had hoped with today's GPS technology, that this device could provide location information to at least the local address. Otherwise, device works very well - no difficulty communicating with operator, etc. Excellent value.

Got for mother in law. It is the best choice because you’re not restricted to an area range and aren’t depending on the device connecting with your cellular device either. It uses the 2g network and satellites and can be used anywhere you go. It has automatic fall detection and two way speaker/microphone directly to 911 and is waterproof as well. It comes with a charging dock. No batteries to replace, ever. The best part is that you pay for it one time only and there are no monthly service fees. When you purchase it, you can choose to add on a 4 year warranty.

This unit broke at almost 1 year of age. I returned it, and they fixed it and sent me the same unit back. I charged it, and there was a problem of the cord not fitting all the way in the charger, but I was able to charge it. Then I tested it, 3 times, and it did not work; the first 2 times I pressed the button nothing happened. The third time I finally heard the phone ring for 911. and the operator said hello, and I said this is a test, but the operator could not hear me. I was screaming everything is all right, but she could not hear me. I called the company to ask for a new unit, and they said the 1-year warranty period was up. The unit worked today, but a unit that works sometimes is not good enough. The reason the 1 year warranty was up was that they sent it by slow mail and it took 8 days to arrive.

Was able to try this out. Works as discribed. When I was connected to 911 as a test they told me where I was. Wasn't totally accurate but close, that's great than having no location. The communication was clear. 911 can not call you back. It informs them that your calling from a device that can't recieve calls. But as I feared the button is easy to set off. But it warms you with beeps to cancel. i bought this for other reason than just medical. I hunt and it could be used for help if you fall from a free or you get lost. Would highly recommend.

Great innovation. No monthly fees. Connects you directly to your local 911 call center. Charge lasts very long time. I haven't determined how long, but I think it's over a week. I love the call if you fall Feature in addition to the press to call 911 button. No worries if you're knocked unconscious, it calls for you and even has a GPS to help locate you if you're unconscious. Water resistant, I can wear it in the shower. If I fall I don't have to worry about lying there until the water gets cold and my cats start eating me.

APPEARS TO WORK GOOD. I MADE A TEST CALL TO 911 AND IT WORKED. WOULD HAVE GIVEN 5 STARS BUT I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE USB CHARGING CORD AND BLOCK. ISSUES STARTED AFTER ABOUT A MONTH. IT CHARGES FINE IN THE BASE, BUT BECAUSE OF A SPECIAL SITUATION I HAVE TO CHARGE IT IN THE DEVICE USB PORT. IT WON'T CHARGE WITH THE CORD AND BLOCK THAT CAME WITH THE DEVICE. THEY SENT ME A NEW CORD BUT I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. FORTUNATELY i HAVE USB CORDS AND BLOCKS FROM OTHER DEVICES AND IT CHARGES FINE WITH THOSE.
