Drop In Fit for Washburn WG66SCE - Amazing Sustain Increase and Perfect Saddle Height As-Is
This is the second Tusq product I've used on my guitars. The first was a nut that I replaced on a Les Paul so that I could get rid of fret buzz. On this Washburn W66SCE, I had taken the old saddle down significantly to make the guitar more playable when I first purchased it. I took the saddle down about 1/16th inch too far, so I was getting some fret buzz on the 6th string 1st through 5th fret. After dealing with that for a few months, I decided to replace the saddle entirely with this Tusq Saddle. The reputation of Tusq nuts and saddles is very good and has been for quite some time now. I was expecting to need to take the saddle height down some, and had my tools set-up to do so, when I put the saddle in to see how far down I would have to take it to achieve a balanced string height for my playing style. So I dropped it in, tuned up and low and behold, the saddle is PERFECT. It doesn't need to be sanded or formed at all! This rarely happens to I was inclined to write a review on this amazing product, not just due to the exact fitment for my Washburn W66SCE (a incredibly underrated gem of a guitar by the way, check out the specs on the Washburn site when you have a minute) but also because of the sweet, sweet tone and sustain produced after ditching the old saddle and installing this one. This isn't a snake oil product. This is something pretty spectacular. I'm sure that anyone who has already gone down this road will brush this off as no big deal since they've probably known this for several years now. But for the noobs and non-believers, I have to say that this is something that raises the tonality and quality of your guitar up a notch and it immediately shows in the sustain, chime and harmonics that your guitar will produce if the saddle was a weak spot in your setup, as mine was. Why Washburn doesn't suck it up and put these in right from the get-go is beyond me, but they really should. It would put the guitar in another class and conversation with some of the bigger players in the game and solidify Washburns current spot in this price point, as the guitar to have. This is the gap filler between Martin and Taylors low-mid end guitars and upper end guitars. That is, as long as you have something a little special in it, like an exceptional saddle for instance. But I digress and I'm off track here a bit. In summation, I strongly suggest pulling the existing saddle out of said guitar and replacing it with this Tusq model. This small investment, is the super smooth, best tasting frosting you've ever had on the proverbial guitar cake.

Product was exactly as ordered
This replacement saddle, in the bridge slot (second photo) should hold up much better than the old junky one (just to the left of the new one), and sounds amazing! It is the perfect size and truly fit like a glove. I pushed it into the bridge-slot with finger pressure, and it stayed in place even when the guitar was turned upside down. I love Graphtech Tusq for acoustic saddles and guitar nuts for both acoustic and electric guitars. A great value for such a quality made product, and a breeze to install!

Must buy upgrade!
This was almost a perfect fit for my Fender Paramount PM-1 Limited Adirondack Spruce Dreadnought acoustic/electric guitar. It was just a tiny bit too long, but easy enough to sand down to fit. Fit nice and snug. Better than my original bone saddle. The difference is night and day. Tone, sustain & intonation are all greatly improved. Just make sure you get the right type & size for your guitar. After installing and tuning up, I played the guitar every day for over a week and did not have to touch the tuners. My guitar has always been very good at holding tune, usually strings just go a tiny bit flat after a while, but the Tusq keeps it locked in. Sustain and tone are remarkably improved as well. Loved it so much I went Tusq everywhere I could. Paired with a new Tusq nut & bridge pins, your guitar will sound and play so much better.

Perfect replacement
I bought this to replace the bridge on my Fender Tim Armstrong Signature acoustic. The height was identical to the original bridge, and it only required a small amount of sanding to fit in the saddle. This is definitely a better bridge than what the guitar came with from the factory.

Alvarez MD60
Fits my Alvarez MD60 very well. Had to sand the thickness down a little bit to fit the slot. Height is just right as is. Fixed some intonation issues, and buzzing from a poor set up done by sweetwater (they sanded the saddle down too far and installed a partial shim). Also made my tone more consistent. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Perfect Saddle drop in with Graphtech quality
So I wanted to "upgrade" a cheap Fender acoustic and put in a Graphtech nut and saddle. Took the measurements, bought correct nut and saddle. Had to sand width slightly to fit. Had to sand bottom and remove a few millimeters to get action at 12th fret low enough which is normal fitting process. Although overall tone is set by guitar shape, bracing, wood choices, I like having the Graphtech nuts and saddles as they never need lubrication and add class to the instrument. A sound difference? who knows without precise measuring equipment. But I use them on all my instruments and never had string buzz or rubbing at contact points.

Wow what a difference!
Bought this to replace the saddle on an old Washburn D-13N. Absolutely blown away by the improvements to sustain and tone! Did not expect it to make this big of a difference. Thought the guitar sounded fine before but now it sounds a whole lot better. Buying another one to drop in a Fender acoustic. Also going to try their bridge pins. Couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend!

Bone is too brittle and can be inconsistent in density. These are fairly easy to sand found too. Don’t stink like bone when you sand them. Tone and sustain is improved.

The Tusq saddle was pretty much a drop in replacement for my Fender acoustic guitar, model number DG-22SCE EBONY NAT. Only minor sanding was required to install the new saddle. The new saddled improved overall sound of my guitar noticeably. I would recommend this item for anyone looking for an affordable way to enhance the tone of your guitar.
