The bulb in my NEC PA550W projector burned out the first day of the winter Olympics. Got this replacement in 2 days and installed in 5 minutes. Excellent brightness and performance. Glad I didn't pay 3x as much for a comparable replacement bulb.

This was a perfect fit for my NEC NP-PA600X projector. The housing looked identical to the OEM lamp I removed, except for a brown electrical socket instead of black. The arrangement of the lamp and its wiring inside the housing looked the same too. I don't have a brightness measuring device, so I cannot tell if this lamp is really as bright as the original was when new. But it certainly was a huge improvement over the 3-year-old bulb. Even though the old bulb hadn't burned out, its output was rapidly dimming because of the reflective metal layer inside the bulb. So qualitatively, I'm quite happy with this bulb, and at the good price for this bulb, I plan to order a couple more to put on the shelf as backups for the future.

Bulb works great, fits just like its supposed to. Only complaint is that the bulb is not as bright as the original. But for the money it saves, I think we can handle it with a few minor 'setting' adjustments.
