Incredible Customer Service!
First of all, like other reviewers have stated, Vastfire’s customer service is amazing! These people stay in constant touch until all problems are resolved. I’ve never seen anything like it, and I wish them great success in the future! While the light itself is well-built and powerful, the weak point is the remote switch. Vastfire sent me another switch/endcap, free of charge. While I can’t positively identify targets at 350 yards, I’d feel comfortable taking a 100-yard shot with this light. At $26, this light is a terrific bargain. I plan to buy another as a backup.Another great feature is the inclusion of a backup system using three AAA batteries in case something goes wrong with the rechargeable. I tested both systems, and they work perfectly. While placing my order, I confused this light with others on the page and assumed it came with a scope mount. It does not. It comes with a RAIL mount, which I didn’t need. I ended up buying a scope mount separately. I attached the remote switch to the rifle’s forearm with Velcro. While I’ve been trying to include an actual hunting video with my review, things have been going wrong. Either I can’t find any critters, or they run away while I’m fumbling with the video camera. One thing I've noticed is that cottontail rabbits won't hold still once this green light shines on them. They dash away immediately. And tonight I sneaked up to within 15 yards of a herd of about six wild hogs. I observed them through a Firefield NV monocular until I was close enough. Then when I lit them up with the Vastfire green light, they bolted in all directions. One of them nearly slammed into me! This reaction surprised me, as they were quite relaxed and busy rooting until I turned on that light. Now, I just placed an order for the Vastfire RED light. Even though I won't be able to see as far with red, all of my shots are generally under 25 yards, so I think red will be alright. All in all, I think these Vastfire lights are a good "bang for the buck."UPDATE EDIT 7/9/18:I'm so sorry to see that Vastfire no longer offers the Zoomable Red Varmint light. Now that I've had the chance to hunt with both the green and the red, the red is now my "go-to" hunting light. When the beam is narrowed down, it focuses rather brightly and my target is clearly visible at surprising ranges. I now wish I had two reds instead of a red and a green. I've shone the red light on numerous varieties of nocturnal animals over the last few months, and none of them have spooked. If Vastfire reintroduces the red zoomable shooting light, I'm going to buy another to keep as a backup.Perhaps they are simply retooling to improve the rather flimsy remote pressure switch. I hope that's the case, because I feel this light is too good to keep off the market for very long!

Lights up the yard
Have this mounted to a pellet rifle to help spot rats at night. Definitely illuminates a good 10 to 15 foot area or can zoom in to tighter spotlight and make everything visible. I've been using it for over 6 months now and it's required a charge about 3 times so battery life is decent though I may only have it on for 5 minutes a night. There are 3 levels of brightness, a strobe and an sos mode. I definitely recommend if needing some night hunting or in general night vision style illumination.

Satisfied
good light but the power button stopped working and the wires for the power button on the cable attachment broke loose, i'm not too impressed!Revised review,Customer service got in touch with me and sent a replacement light, the new light works great. Customer service was easy to work with and I received the replacement light shortly after being in contact with them. I’m satisfied with the new light, and the ease of working with customer service.

Seriously impressed, battery life, quality and accessories beat the odds
I thought I paid a lot more for this but I just saw my invoice and it was super reasonable for everything you get. This is a very well built flashlight that comes in a decent case with lots of accessories. the battery life I finally charged it 4 months after buying. I used it maybe a couple times a week when critters come after my livestock and have to chase it out, or spotting coyotes. Might be "on" for 5 minutes a week on average. It didnt "need" a charge 4 months later, it was still plenty bright and functional but i was excited to get back to its full strength. Full strength, i can spot down the field which is 1/4 mile long and see the eyes of deer on the tree line. It isn't HD 4K lighting 1/4 mile away illumination but you can get the gist if you know what you are looking at. Well done folks

Quality light, lots of accessories, and throws a beam 100+ yards...awesome
I ordered this flashlight for use in hunting hogs in the evening/night. I was concerned that the light would not be strong enough and therefore would not throw a beam out far enough. That said, given the low price of the light, I was willing to take a chance. After receiving the light, it appeared well made and sturdy. I have used the light twice for hog hunting and it works excellent. It throws a beam out 100-125 yards and enabled me to look down through a scope to see the hogs. To say I was surprised was an understatement. This is an amazing light and with the rail mount, battery, charger, and remote switch, it's an amazing deal. I highly recommend it and will be ordering another one.

Excellent Light
The fact that they come with everything you need just makes this light even better. I particularly like the remote pressure switch. With a touch you can turn it on momentarily or with a press of the same switch you can turn it on continuously so you don't have to hold it on.Very bright so you don't need a lit scope for it to be usable. Zoomable with little effort, I just slide the lens with my thumb, so adjustments on the fly are effortless. Light pressure to find your target, then press to stay on, and adjust the pattern with your thumb. 2 still hunts and 2 hogs down. 1 at 20 yards on a very dark overcast night and the other at 30 with a bright half moon. Hogs don't pay any attention to the green light what-so-ever, they don't even pause form rooting around. Batter life is good so far but I've only kept it on for a few minutes at a time. I have not recharged yet, but I do carry an extra battery with me just in case. Oh..., this is the 3rd one I've bought. Gave one to a friend and he loves it as well.
