Solid stone, very stable. Rough surface made grinding easier.
Heavy stone mortar and pestle is an excellent tool if you need to grind spices. The very heavy mortar was stable and with the rubber pad stayed in one place even with vigorous use. The inside of the mortar was rough and helped a lot when grinding chilli pepper seeds.

Very good quality
Absolutely love this set. The material is heavy and well-crafted, and it grinds herbs, spices, and seeds effortlessly. Easy to clean and looks great on the counter too. A fantastic addition to my kitchen!

Great Mortar and Pestle
Love it! Feels good in the hand, as I am using it, and really grinds and mashes food well. Nice and heavy so it's not sliding around on the counter. Looks good too! Good job, and thanks for a great product.

Heavy weight
Attractive piece of granite, well rounded centered mortar and good sized pestle. The short downside is that it has to be seasoned. Not a quick and easy process. The least they could have done is grind down the rice. It takes some energy and time which they could have easily done by machine. BTW There are other steps to season the mortar.

Awesome product
This is fantastic, I used to chef and love to cook and mix and match seasonings, especially with fresh and it is fantastic to grind up those seeds.

Prompt delivery, as advertised about 4 cup capacity. Included instructions for initial clean and seasoning. Hefty item with a sticky pad for the base, would still recommend to place on another silicone mat or chopping board when using to protect your bench tops. Looks really nice on the kitchen bench next to the other displayable kitchenwear
