I have owned a cleaning business for over 12 years and have used almost every type of vacuum thats out there (Dyson, shark, Kerby, Rainbow, etc). The model before this was great but this is a slimer design. I have owned this one for over 5 years and I cant say enough. Yesterday the electrical issue everyone is talking about finally happened. However this vaccum is used 8 to 10 HR straight 6 days a week for deep and detailing cleaning (dusting and hard floor vacuuming). I heard a pop and a puff of smoke came out. I took it to the vaccum repair shop and they said 70 to fix. This is the only vaccum (including uprights, canisters and other backpacks) that can put up w the abuse and i mean abuse I give it. The suction power is insane!!! It is because of this vacuum that my business is so successful. You have to have the right tools for the job and this vaccum is a must. I can detail a entire 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home in 9 hrs vs 2 days. I use it for commercial, construction and residential 'Cleaning. Id buy this again a million times over egardless of the electrical issues. Price has gone up a bit though. I think i spent 250 tops 5 years ago.

Today the cord to the short plug sparked and burnt the rubber coating right off. This was located at my hip and I felt the heat. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed and I spent a nice chunk of money that only lasted me a year. Beware.

We use this unit daily to clean all sorts of stuff. Carpets, tile, hardwood, upholstery, etc. It's lightweight and very quiet. The only reason it didn't get the 5th star is that there isn't a standard extension in the kit for the crevice tool.EDIT: This was a great device for the 3 years we had it however the power switch circuit board ended up getting extremely hot and finally made a 'pop' sound. The device will no longer turn on. I have to downgrade the original rating now that I agree with the other posters about the electrical issues. This thing is unfortunately a fire hazard.

Very good machine so far. Super light and easy to use. Lot of power and suction. Easy to clean and maintain.

very comfortable and well built. Only issue I found with it is you cant buy a combination floor tool that allows you to go from carpeting to tile floors without having to change floor attachments, which to me is a big deal!

We needed a "real" vacuum for our 4000 square foot tasting room. The battery operated unit we had worked as long as you dry mopped the floors FIRST to eliminate pebbles, leaves, hair or other detritus. The battery unit would constantly get jammed in the throat requiring 15 minutes of disassembly to clean.This unit makes quick work of the hard floors and works well on the entry rugs. It doesn't jam and we really do not need the dry mop anymore. It is quiet and very comfortable to wear. The curved arm allows you to get under the stools and chairs and the quick-change of the tools with the telescoping arm offer great flexibility.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a commercial grade vacuum.

As like the other reviews, It is a fire hazard. The wires burned out and melted the plastic on/off switch. Company is not helpful in any way. The vacuum was a year old , and used once a week in a 5000sq. ft. home.

Seriously a wonderful vacuum for our 20,000 sq ft warehouse - everyone loves it!
