We are currently in the process of doing a design build of a small greenhouse in our yard. After hours on pinterest and looking at various 'shopping' sites, we finally realized what we wanted was just not out there. We needed a good basic book to create our own greenhouse. This book was the perfect fit. The first few pages walk you through what you might want in your greenhouse, then some nice construction plans on a few designs finally followed by some 'extra' builds to help in creating the perfect garden area. My husband and I have both reviewed the book and feel it was an excellent investment for our needs. The only weird thing about the book is the young man who is the model in the construction photos is dressed in slacks and a dress shirt. Just looks odd. Otherwise we love the book.

I am looking into building a greenhouse myself. This book does a beautiful job of showing and discussing all sorts of construction techniques and the pros/con of them. Extensive color photography. Never knew there were so many ways to build a greenhouse. What type of floor, covering, vents, heating, cooling, shelving, insulation and more questions are discussed.

IM GONNA BUILD STUFF!! I’m new to gardening and have decided to build a nifty greenhouse for my tiny backyard. I’m so excited!!! This book is very informative gives dimensions and specific materials that can be used to build yourself a greenhouse they can range from tiny, like the one I’ll build) so expansive! I mean some of these set ups are bigger than my house! So want one!! If you’re looking for ideas and general knowledge of the how to variation, check this book out!

I love everything about this book! It fires up my dreams for my own lovely greenhouse space! It goes over a lot of info for sound building, with lovely photos. I feel like this book will help me make my dream greenhouse come true!!

Just starting my greenhouse this spring, and this book is great. I bought another one at the same time for about the same price, but the B&D book is so much better and more comprehensive that the other one will probably end up in a garage sale after one quick reading. If you're building a greenhouse, this is the guide to have. Highly recommended.

We decided to start with the seed shelf first and the cuts were unfortunately inaccurate. It's a quick fix, but frustrating because I was using this plan to tech my children some basic carpentry. I'll be double checking all cuts before making any other projects. The book had the shelf length cuts at 50" when it should have been 48" like the plywood.

Not just greenhouses but lots of other garden structures for growing things. This book is excellently laid out with great photos and info. I thinks it’s the best of its type.

Many years ago my house had a greenhouse on the property, and I grew all kinds of favorite veggies, flowers, and some fruit in there. However, with travel taking over my life, and a lack of maintenance, the greenhouse didn't get used, started to fall apart, and had to be dismantled a decade ago. But I never lost the desire to put in a replacement. With the shutdown in travel dur to coronavirus, I started thinking about greenhouses again, and bought this B&D book to see what they had to suggest (I have quite a few other books in the B&D series, and they are all good!). The book helped me decide what type of structure I want, and gave me information on a pad, construction, and maintenance. In the end, I ended up buying a greenhouse from a hardware store instead of building one myself, but the info in this book was great in helping me set things up properly with a pad, electrical, and water. Little things like orientation, shelving, ventilation and so on were all explained. While I have yet to get through a complete season, I would not have the greenhouse set up properly without this book.
