Blown away
Compact and sturdy takes up very little space on my art desk/work desk. One feature that I enjoy the most is the rotating base, which makes any angle possible to set in the vice. If I could give this 6 thumbs up I would.

Rock solid
It's exactly what it says it is and it's good at being a vise. It's small but you know that it's 3.3" so just be sure you don't need bigger.

Well Built
I am impressed with this little vice. Pretty well made and will last for years. Not flimsy like some of the cheaper vices......

Light duty, lightweight (4.9 lbs) portable vise. (The maximum jaw opening: ~2.4")
I find it a nice, light-duty portable vise. To me, the biggest "con" is that the maximum jaw opening is only about 2.4". If it was only a fraction of an inch wider and could accept 2.5" work piece, it would have made a big difference for me. (I had several instances where the jaw was just slightly too narrow to accept things I wanted it to grip.) So you would want to make sure that the 2.4" max jaw width is acceptable to the type of work pieces you usually handle.Another is that I have seen very similar vise (looks almost identical from pictures) offered for about the same price but come with optional jaws and other accessories this one doesn't come with. So you might like to do a little search and comparison before pulling a trigger, so to speak.PROS::- 2 ways to install: Temporary clamp & bolted mounting (versatile installation)- Push button release for the jaw (Quick to open/close the jaw; no need to rotate the screw many times)- Not too heavy for portable useCONS::- Jaw opening only 2.4" maximum. (I find it limiting)- No jaw protectors included (I saw other similar vise that came with them)- Jaws are replaceable and has post holes (not threaded) on top to accept jigs, but no additional jaws or jigs are included. (I saw other sellers offering very similar vise that came with those accessories for about the same price.)As measured:- Jaw length: 3-1/4"- Maximum usable jaw opening: ~2.4 inch- Weight: 2,220g / 4.9 lbsOverall it's a nice small vise, but it could have been better in a couple of ways. So I'm giving it 4 stars.

Nice little clamp vise
Got this Kitvance 3.3in Clamp Vise to add a vise to my work/task site tools, because C-clamps and pliers are often not a good substitute for a decent vise.Design is good, very "honey I shrunk the vise", or a Hobbit's vise, I like the quick release button, but I think only 2 screws holding the clamp arm is weak (i.e. should be interlocking frame held in place by screws without the screws carrying much of that clamp load directly). Build quality is fairly good for the design, it will do well for light duty work and could last decades if well cared for (oil it & prevent rust), but the metal doesn't seem thick enough in places to endure heavy duty abuse (e.g. heavy pounding with a hammer, forging steel, etc).Functionality is good for it's size, pretty much all light duty usage is the same as a larger mounted vise. At times it can seem more like huge clunky pliers, which allows for slightly different usage in bringing the vise to the work piece instead of the work piece to the vise. The jaws can be used as a very heavy clamp in wood working, and along with the pivoting light clamp for some unusual or weird uses for a vise (e.g. holding complex framing joints or holding together higher load joints difficult to assemble with regular clamps without building a jig). Consider this more than just a vise, it's a versatile clamp too, but it's not designed to be that so it's a little clunky in that role. The measurements on the product page are off by a little or conflicted. Jaw opening is not 2.79in stated in description text, my caliper says 2.33in, closer to the description picture, but the inside of the screw holes in the jaws is 2.79in apart. Jaw width is not 3.2in as in the description text, my caliper says 3.3in as in the title and picture. Body length isn't clearly stated, my caliper says 5.65in, with max jaw slide overhang of 2.35, 8in even, plus 0.6in for the screw head, matches 8-3/5in max overall length in the picture, when closed the jaw slide overhangs by 0.05in. (sorry, just not a new digital caliper to review, can't help using it, even to the point of annoying myself)Overall, 5 stars, nice little clamp vise.

Great little shop vise
I got this vise because I needed something on the smaller side for my small bench in my shop and am happy to say that this works great for that purpose. I have used it to bend metal, grind, get nails out of stuff, hold pieces together once glued as well as hammer some nails back straight and it has done all of these tasks without issue. Great little vise.

A Nice (Little) Vise!
A small, but durable, table vise packed with features? …What’s not to love?Overall, I’m very pleased with this vise. It holds to the table/bench effectively, and it offers nice grip on materials ranging from lumber to smooth metal rods. The addition of a 360 degree swivel base and a quick-release button set it aside from comparable vises. So far, the only issues I’ve had with the vise surround the use of a few components. First, the plates on the inside of the vise arrived very loose. So, I had to open the vise completely and tighten everything down. Overall, that isn’t a big deal, but it isn’t what I want to be doing with a new product, either. In addition, when disengaging the quick release feature will sometimes latch down between threads of the vise. This causes the vise to “miss” when tightening (it clunks as it slips over the thread). This is easily corrected by engaging the quick release and sliding the vise forward or backward a bit, however. So, this isn’t an irreparable issue.Overall, this is a good vise that could be great. My initial need to tighten things up, combined with the quick-release “slipping” issue, holds it back from being a five star product, but I’m generally pleased. I have every reason to believe this vise will do solid work for the foreseeable future, which is the purpose for which it is intended!
