Acupressure Pillow Acupuncture Pillow- Neck Pain-Accupressure Spike - by DG SPORTS-Black

I have a Spoonk Acupressure Mat, which I love. I couldn’t figure out how to order just a pillow from them (and am kicking myself for not getting one of their packages! In the first place). So I chose this pillow because it has gotten good reviews on some sites, and it wasn’t that expensive compared to others. I can definitely tell a difference. The spikes aren’t as pointy or sharp, which some people will appreciate. I’m one of those people who wants them as spikey as possible and will lay on it with bare skin- so not ideal for me. However, for the price, It’s good enough. If I knew for sure that one of the more expensive ones would definitely be more spikey, I would probably return it and order a different brand- but it’s fine. It does have good support. So if you don’t like the super sharp spikes, this one will probably wont be the best choice for you.

My wife gave this item to me for Christmas. It hurt to lay on. Now, I am not saying that it doesn't work because as we passed it to other family members, amid gales of laughter, some found it to be very relaxing. One said that they started yawning as soon as they lay on it. My son in law said he loved it. I tried it again and it still hurt. I did lay on it long enough for my neck to go kind of numb, but relaxed, no.My wife writes about the pillow: I believe it is a stress reliever without compare. You can relieve stress with no pills or doctors, etc. It is relaxing, but you have to work through the first sessions. Stay with it and get relaxed!After the holidays she gave my pillow away to my son in law who really needs to relax. I feel torn. I am kind of glad that I don't have to keep working on it, who knows I might have gotten to the relaxation point, (but I doubt it.) On the other hand I'm short a gift. Sweet misery.

I have had neck problems for years and consequently, am always on the lookout for products that may truly help by neck issues. I read the description and thought this might help relax the muscular problem I have with my neck and so I bought it. I was disappointed. It seems well enough made but did nothing for my neck pain and pressure. The spiked disks are hard plastic and they are NOT comfortable. I still persevered and ignored the discomfort from the hard plastic spiked digging into my neck but it never did anything for me and the pillow got tossed into a closet.

I really like this. I just wish it were a bit firmer, but some might like it softer. Probably just personal choice. I use it in conjunction with the mat nightly and it helps with the pain and stress I'm feeling in my body. It also helps me sleep better, hence using it before bed. Of course you can use it any time of the day.

Well, I've only had it two days at this point (no pun intended) and I can tell it helps my neck to relax, but it is a bit difficult accustoming oneself to the prickly surface poking into your flesh. I am considering putting a fine cloth over it help acclimate myself. It is so very odd, knowing that something helps long term, but hurts short term. Will report back in a few more weeks.

Got this, along with the mattress for my mom as a christmas present, since she was always complaining about neck and back pain after work (she works in a very strained "stooped down" position for hours at a time. She was skeptical and kept making fun of me, asking if I was trying to stab her or kill her.I made her try it for 30 minutes. At about the 15 minute mark, she said she felt very warm and relaxed, and after 30 minutes, she said her back and neck felt a lot less tense. She's now using it every day, and it's helped a lot with her pain!

This is such an interesting item - I can actually fall asleep on this! (Which I don't recommend because then you have to peel yourself off when you wake up). This helps relieve some of my upper back and neck tension and I think it calms be down before actually sleeping. I use it while watching TV!

I knew that this wasn't a 'comfortable ' device but I've used it for chronic head and neck pain and believe that the results were positive for pain relief albeit temporary.
