This belt is awesome. I suggest keeping the button to loosen the belt on top… or whatever is more comfortable.

I’ve been on a weight loss journey of several years. My standard belts immediately showed stretched out former holes as they were moved to a new hole. Eventually, I tried drilling new holes when the ones that came with the belts were not tight enough. When it became obvious I was not going to gain it back, I bit the bullet and replaced belts in addition to pants. I was uncertain of these and held off writing a review until I lived with them for a while. The ratchet mechanism has been flawless! And as a bonus, as more weight came off, I was able to release the buckle from the belt, and shorten them further with a big scissors. Good thing too, since after several years of wear, the belts (I have three now, black, brown, and gray) are still perfect! Leather has held up perfectly, and the plastic strip that latches the belt, ie that the ratchet catches onto, are likewise perfect. I just cut another two inches off the gray belt as the tongue was getting too long. That’s what triggered me to write this. Wonderful quality and appearance!

My son is in a wheelchair and struggles with using a regular belt. This belt is easy to put on because the belt part is sturdy and pushes around the waist easily and fastening and unfastening is easier. Love the two color choice and swap option for metal buckle.
