TEC Color Matched Caulk by Colorfast (Sanded) (949 Silverado)

I had hoped for a slightly darker color but this worked out really well.

I ordered two shades that appeared to be brown in the item description, and both shades were more grey than brown. Not sure if it’s a problem in the website or the colors I received were bad representations. The product consistency and ease of application is just fine. I just couldn’t use them for the intended purposes. I have ordered other color match products from this manufacturer that were acceptable.

When I did not receive my order, the company sent out another tube IMMEDIATELY. This sanded caulk is superior to others that I have used. Very easy to apply, and the color matches PERFECTLY. Just be careful about how it comes out of the tube. The service and the products that I received are second to none. Would certainly do business with them again.

Perfect match to my shower grout

Overall, I liked this product. It has the convenience of caulk with the look and finish of grout. But there is a trade off. it is also not as forgiving as grout and the silicone dries quickly on the surface, making it harder to clean without messing up the bead. I bought ivory because it looked like it matched my old grout from the color pallette in the product description. The tube was correctly labeled as ivory, but it was much whiter than the photo. Rather than return it I went ahead and used it. It looks acceptable but I'm not entirely satisfied. I also wished I had practiced before applying it. It is easy to overwork and it can get clumpy rather quickly. I had to reapply in some sections. So, don't trust the color photo, work fast, smooth quickly with tool or finger and clean with a damp sponge immediately after, rinsing often. You may get better results than I did.

Our shower has a stone floor which was grouted with a sanded grout. I needed to touch up some edge seams that had cracked slightly. This caulk was supposed to be a match to the grout so I gave it a try. It matched the color and sanded finish perfectly! Very pleased with this.

I loved the color, but this stuff is very hard to work with. It is not as liquid as normal caulk so it does not fall I to deeper crevices. You have to let it settle then go back over it. Also I lost half of it out the back side of the gun cause of poorly made tube. I ended up spackling it in. The good side is its not has messy and sticky as traditional caulk. But I did have to get very creative with this stuff. I'd only recommend this stuff if you are adaptable. Also, you need a rubber plunger piece for a the caulk gun if that even exists. I was able to get more work time damping the spots. Im pretty sure it causes longer cure time.

Used in kitchen since when they out countertops on they did a horrible job with caulking it so I had to fix it. Now no holes, looks great, and did it myself!
