Alex DIY Knot-A Unicorn Hat Craft Kit Kids Art and Craft Activity

This is really cute, but it does involve some sewing with annoying holes to punch out and aligning your felt pieces. The colors are really bright and has a really cute design for assembling with minor sewing. Plastic needle and threads are included. You might have to assist if child is under 10 due to mediocre instructions. It makes a nice rainy day project for Mom and daughter.

My girls were super excited to get these. The eyes were difficult because none of the holes were actually punched out, just had indentations which were difficult to see on the black and the white. Once the horn was sewn on and the blue glittery pieces added to the mane, we were covered in glitter. My girls loved the end result though and that's what matters.

Little more involved than what my not so crafty 10 year old is used to doing. She found the sewing difficult, you have to push the needle through several layers of fabric and she kept hurting her fingers. It’s a mother daughter effort at this point and we’ve made it halfway through. Personally, I’d never buy anything like this again.

This is a fun and easy to manage DIY craft kit, as I find most ALEX kits to be. The unicorn beanie is fun and stylish. My daughter liked it well enough that we ordered additional kits for her to give to friends as gifts.

This says 6+ but a 6 year old would require A LOT of assistance to complete this project. It is, however, a cute hat.

If something says DIY and the age is 6+, I would expect it to be pretty easy to assemble! I know how to sow, and it isn't easy for me as an adult! Also, the pictures don't show the ugly white stitching that you end up with when finished.

Got the for my twelve year old for Christmas. She and all her friends live it. But we did cheat putting it together we used hot glue instead of sewing it. Wored just as well. Super fun mom daughter bonding time
