I'm logged into my husband's Amazon account to leave a "verified-purchase" review of this sturdy little stand. I regularly use a portable monitor, a 15.6" Asus Zenscreen (it looks to be MB16AC), which is a few years old now. That device comes with a magnetic "origami" cover that folds into a stand, which is great for the coffeeshop, but it's awkward for a home office. The screen also weighs 1.7 pounds. I wanted a stand that would keep my portable monitor at eye level without eventually sinking from the weight. The bracket/clamp is straining at its maximum extension -- I'm pretty sure it will never securely hold a smaller device again! -- but it is holding my Zenscreen at eye level safely and sturdily. My workspace looks nice and tidy, too. I can't say for sure that this stand will fit other brands of portable monitors, but it does clamp onto the Asus Zenscreen MB16AC, to my utter delight. I am very impressed with the appearance and build quality of this stand. It's pretty phenomenal overall.

Bought it to hold my 12.9" iPad Pro as a second monitor. Works great! It's stable and keeps the iPad right where I need it. I've tried others, but returned them because they bounce around–not this one!

I had high hopes for this - the photos of it looked like it was exactly what I was looking for - an e-reader stand (for both a Kindle and Kobo) - that could also be used with my iPhone or iPad. I received it today and excitedly took it out of the box. It was a nice weight - I had no worries that it would easily slip off a table. The problem? The reason for the low review? The fact it requires assembly - in particular - the clamping portion to the arm. Impossible. You get the necessary tools (allen wrenches) and the bolt/screw. However, no matter how hard I tried to get the clamp portion attached securely - it simply would not. Even when the bolt was super hard to tighten, it flopped around. I really did try to get it to attach and it just wasn't meant to be. So I'm returning it. The only reason I gave it two stars rather than one was because weight wise it was great - it seemed like it would be a solid device - if it worked. Maybe you'll luck out and get it to attach successfully. I wish it came already attached, with the wrenches included in case you needed to loosen or tighten any of the joints. May the odds ever be in your favor if you order it, that you are able to assemble it without issue ;)

I love this product! I am amazed that it really holds up my ipad. I own an apple ipad pro 12.9. I was looking for a product that would be adjustable but will hold up even if you placed it on a high level position (eye level!) it really worked. I bought this because I need to have a second monitor beside my laptop and I didn’t have the budget to buy a new monitor. This product really helped me achieve like I have a monitor. I have had this for a week now and so far I am happy with it. To me the only downside would be the hassle of using the allen wrench whenever you want to adjust it. So i placed the wrench at my drawer where I can easily get it…but it’s not really a big deal because it does its job. It stays up all the time holding my tablet without falling! However, to people who are lazy and prefer to adjust their tablet frequently I don’t this would be for you. I didn’t experience any difficulty the first time i adjusted it. The instructions is written on the box. It was packed so well. I received it with no damage. I got this in white. I couldn’t take a photo because my desk is a mess LOL but if you’re like me whose confused choosing which one to get considering there are so many available products in Amazon for tablet stand. This has been very effective. I have a surface pro in a Kensington case so it's a bit heavy. At first it seemed to droop but with some tightening with the Allen key it holds up. It's great to have my screen at eye level to use with my keyboard.
