LED Rear Stop 3rd Brake Light Replacement For Ford F150 1994-1996/ F250 F350 1994-1997/ Bronco 1992-1996, Smoked Lens Tail Brake Light Cargo Lamp with Gasket

I bought this as a replacement part for my 1996 Ford Bronco after the brake light bulb terminal in the original part rusted out. The new part fits perfectly. I was able to plug it into the original wiring harness just fine, no splicing needed. The lights are a lot brighter than the original. The provided gasket isn't exactly the right size and shape, and the holes in the gasket for the mounting screws are a bit off. But it's all close enough and flexible enough that you can just kind of push it into place and fudge it.

Bought to replace the light on 1994 Ford f150 - fits good - looks good. Did put silicone around it to seal it off - would recommend to anyone looking to purchase one.

However fit lacks a bit Jad to fill in surrounding areas with silicon, contour was not exactly same as cab it says it fit.

Did not fit the curvature of the cab. Light is tight on the top, but there is an 1/8” gap on the bottom and yes, I did install the gasket. Also, the light is not as bright as shown on pictures.

1997 ford f350, the plug did not fit and the mounting holes in the gasket sticker thing don't line up. The screws that hold the unit together needed to be ground down because it hit the cab. Easy enough to re-wire, shove the screws through the gasket, and sand down the plastic. I added a 6 ohm 50 watt resistor between the brake hot and ground wires. The automatic transmissions need to see a specific resistance (normal bulb) for the torque converter to lock and unlock correctly.

I can not tell you how disappointed I am with this product. My 93 Ford F150 had a stand alone cargo light on the back of the cab and I thought this product would give it a nice modern look with the cargo light/third brake light combo. This is no where near a direct replacement, it requires you to cut a much larger hole in the cab and if you intend to use the supplied gasket to seal it up then you better be a good welder because metal work will need to be done. I had some of the same material so I made my own gasket to seal the entire edge of the light against the cab. The look, once installed is ok but the functionality is awful. My OEM cab light was a simply 192 bulb and at night it lit up the bed of the truck. The 8 white led's in this component are not even as bright as a 192 incandescent bulb. The problem now is that I am stuck with this because the OEM light will no longer fit because I have a larger hole in the back of the cab. My only option is to somehow modify this light to ad brighter led's. I had purchased two of these light because I wanted to ad one to my son's 89 F250 (same cab) but that is not going to happen, I'll just give the 2nd one away.

Pleasing to the eye, but not to the other vehicle components, electronically.
