I drive a 2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7L V6. I replaced my autoradio by an aftermarket screen 2 years now. It came with a camera but not installed during all this time. I decided now to add a backup camera. I tested first the camera I got with the screen just direct connection without using a reverse light wire. It worked but the video quality was bad. That’s why I paid a new one and I’m satisfied. The product was easy to install. It took me some minutes to find the reverse trigger wire from the screen the first time honestly. There was no label unfortunately about that cable for my case. Same with the reverse light wire from the taillight driver side. It took me a moment to find it but it went well finally. Product compatible with my aftermarket android screen. First I installed it where the license plate was but the video was not straight. My license plate is from the driver side so it was not accurate trying to park using the screen. That’s weird. Later I decided to create a custom mount or bracket for the hitch in order to install the camera there. A brake light was already installed there so the idea was to find a way ta add the camera too. I saw videos where some people installed their backup cameras inside the spare tire but in my case the tire is covered and I didn’t want to remove the cover just because of the backup camera. Mounted it using the hitch was not a bad idea. I like the result now honestly. The camera is well centered and works perfectly even rain and night time as described by the seller. Dynamic guidelines not tested yet but I’m already happy. The goal was to add a backup camera. It works. I can’t complain at all. Thank you . I recommend.
