The only way out... Is in!
Where do I even begin with how great the Evil Within 2 is?! Let me first say that I played the first one and enjoyed it, it wasn't game of the year material but it was a good game. However, Evil Within 2 takes everything that was good about the first one and make it better, while improving mistakes that caused the first game to fall flat. I haven't beat it yet, but I'm on Chapter 7 out of 12, and here's what I have to say:Story: 8/10 - You assumed the roll of Sebastion Castellanos, our tortured protagonist with a rough past: His daughter was killed in a fire, his wife goes missing not too long afterwards, and his previous assignment at Beacon Mental Hospital exposed him to horrors and nightmares no one could walk away from without scars. His previous partner, who always knew more than she let on, comes from hiding to reveal that his daughter is alive... But in danger! Only way to help her is enter a "new and improved" STEM, the machine that started it all. With all the deceit and mysteries, you will immediately be gripped by the storytelling. And Evil Within 2 leaves you constantly guessing for a while, but ultimately gives you the answers you crave. (You do not need to play the first one as the games always does well to clue you in on the tragic events of Beacon.) I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, a twisted matrix, ghost in the machine sorta thing, so my opinion is pretty bias, but overall I say that Evil Within 2 takes typical, somewhat cliche, ideas and turns them into extraordinary, meaningful situations.Gameplay: 8/10- It's a survival horror third person shooter, with rpg elements such as open world exploration, crafting, collectables, etc. In the beginning, it can seem pretty overwhelming. One mistake and you could find yourself overthrown by a horde or up against a battle you have no hopes of winning. And Sebastion is no powerhouse, you can't run in with a knife hoping to emerge victorious. However, Sebastion is quite capable should you choose your decisions carefully. Stealth is your best friend, approach these things like a puzzle, analyzing your path, learn the do's and don'ts of the common enemy. And remember, it's ok to run away! Ammo is scarce enough to make you want to be conservative, but common enough to get you through that boss battle you know is coming your way. As I mentioned before, I am only on Chapter 7, but i have died 4 times up to that point. However, in no way did I feel like I was cheated or it was unfair. The world is constantly evolving, there are lots of hidden secrets and files that gives you backstory, old memories and side quests, a variety of weapons, overall just a really good time. Imagine Silent Hill and Resident Evil (the good old ones) with a sprinkle of Outlast... Sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it?Oh don't forget, this is also horror elements, there will be scary moments, jumpscares, eerie moods, the works. And there's this one monstrosity, this ghost lady... Let's just say I had to run out of the room when i turned the lights out and had to sleep with a night light... I'm 20 years old xDSound: 10/10- While there is almost little to no bgm, the sound effects is so well executed that I didn't mind it. The howling wind, rustling trees sounds as if your right there amidst the horror yourself. A cry of an enemy who has spotted you, that loud bang in the distance, it leaves you terrified to investigate it... But you know you will... Firing a powerful shotgun and watching limbs burst off is satisfying, assassinating an enemy brings you such joy!The voice acting is pretty good, too. There were alot of complaints about Sebastion's VA change, but i am actually very impressed by the new VA, and, dare I say, like him more than the original VA. There is just enough emotion in each character's presentation to feel real, believable. However, Sebastion does have alot of recycled lines, but what do you expect? So go ahead and pop in those headphones! I dare you ;)Characters: 7/10- Hey, they work. Lots of stereotypical personalities, I only found one character who was unique so far, and he's the villain, yay! But other than that, don't expect too much.Graphics: 7/10- The game itself is friggin' gorgeous, I found myself stopping and staring ALOT. And not just because of something scary xD It's lots of details, and for me, a little goes a long way. What I do miss is those crazy environmental changes from the first one, the whole world would literally morph and shift before your very eyes, and it was so amazing. Evil Within 2 has a bit of it, but not on the scale the first one had it. But this isn't a problem. My problem is that alot of frame rate drops happen, lots of "pop ups" and "pop in" stuff. I was once walking down a street to watch positions i have already walked by spawn up cars and such, just breaks the immersion a tad.Overall: 9/10- My journey through Evil Within 2 is far from complete, but i have enjoyed every moment of it. It's hard and unforgiving sometimes, but encourages and rewards you to think outside of the box. It's an enticing story revolving in an even more interesting world. So if you're still on the fence, get your butt off that fence and buy this game :)Ps: There are no micro-transactions or dlc, but the game doesn't even need it anyway. With the way games are nowadays, this is definitely a plus.

Evil Within 2 Finally Finds It's Own Identity
I bought this game as a somewhat fan of the original game. Evil Within was okay, but it had it's flaws. For one thing, playing Evil Within made you wish you were playing Resident Evil 4 instead. It honestly felt like a ripoff of Resident Evil 4, and kind of disappointing to see the creator of that series really had nothing new to bring to the table. But I found the DLC for Evil Within interesting, and had potential for something better and more frightening. This brings me to Evil Within 2. There are very few games that surpass the original by such a large margin like this. Evil Within 2 feels like it's own game, with it's own ideas and ways to play. While the game isn't as scary as some other survival horror franchises, the game is a whole lot of fun to actually play and has some very memorable moments leading into the finally. If I were to compare Evil Within 2 to anything, it would be the original Silent Hill. Think of it this way, if Resident Evil 7 was what Silent Hills was supposed to be, Evil Within 2 is like old school Japanese Horror games. Like the original Silent Hill, it's an open world horror game. Making you go block by block, house by house looking for items and weapons. And like Silent Hill, tunnels and narrow paths connect one open world area to another. The game is incredibly well paced and keeps your attention. It's certainly one of the better surprises of 2017 and really recommend it.The only downside is the voice acting is not very good. All of the quality actors from the original did not return, likely to keep costs down or possibly due to the voice actor strike. While they seem to get better as the game reaches it conclusion, there are some really laugh out loud silly lines given in many places at the beginning. If you can get past that, then you will do just fine.

A little different than the first game,
but still nonetheless good and worth your time. If you were a fan of the first The Evil Within, or are a fan of other horror series such as Resident Evil (especially RE4, classic RE, RE7, or the RE2 Remake), Dead Space, Silent Hill, and even indie horror games (Slender, Amnesia, Penumbra, Outlast, etc.), you will like this game and have fun with it.The story takes place years after the first The Evil Within game, and features Sebastian, the previous protagonist, encounter one of his partners from the first game, Julie Kidman, with Mobius agents whilst drinking his sorrows down at a bar. She reveals she has information on his missing daughter, who, according to the backstory of the first game, was presumed to have died in a house fire. Sebastian is at first skeptical of these claims, but eventually follows Kidman to Mobius’s headquarters, and lo and behold, his daughter is hooked up to a Stem machine, and is acting as it’s center. Being told he can save his daughter, who went missing in the Matrix-like mental world, he voluntarily re-enters the Stem machine to find his daughter. Along the way, Sebastian also deals with the trauma of his missing wife, and the events of what happened to him during the previous game. Certain story details are less cryptic, vague, subtle, and told through audio logs and journals than in the first game. For example, Sebastian having a daughter, and what happened to his wife, were told through the journals found in the first game, but this game does not hide this information from you, and the game has a expectation that you know the events of the main story of TEW1, as well as its two DLCs, The Assignment and The Consequence that showcases Juli Kidman’s perspective before going into this game, so if you have not experience all of the story of TEW1, keep that in mind.Without spoiling anything, Sebastian is a bit more vocal on what is happening to him throughout his second journey throughout Stem, and is voice acted very well. His voice actor is different than the first game, so that may be slightly odd to fans of TEW1. He is a little more expressive this time around, though, and reacts a little more angsty than simply just saying things such as “I knew it,” in a almost deadpan voice from the first one. Whichever style is better is up for debate, though, because silent/almost mute main characters do not equal a bad character or game. There are also well acted memorable friendly characters and antagonists throughout the game. The creatures also have good sound effects and voicing, and Sebastian’s weapons have a punchy, strong gunshot to them, too.Gameplay-wise, it is similar to TEW1, but with smoother controls. Sebastian’s run meter is also a bit longer than it was in the first game, even at the beginning of a new playthrough. The nurse from the first game, Tatiana, mysteriously returns to act as Sebastian’s upgrade station, as well as host Resident Evil 4-like shooting gallery mini games that will reward you with more Green Gel for further upgrading yourself. She is now essentially The Merchant from Resident Evil 4, combined with the Upgrade Kiosks from the Dead Space game’s. This game does differ from the first in the fact that it is now slightly open world-like, as opposed to being more linear. Levels include side quests that are optional, but reward you with more Green Gel and sometimes other things such as specific weapons like the shotgun, so at least some of them are worth completing in my opinion, unless you do not want specific weapons or such. There are certain areas of these mini open world areas that act as safe areas from enemies, but other than that, all enemies can potentially chase you throughout the entire section you’re in, and even inside buildings. This includes some of the stronger, larger enemies that require more ammunition to put down, and even then, that still may result in another one respawning later, so it is not advised to waste ammo on these things unless you are fully maxed out with dozens of rounds. There are also various upgrade paths when spending your Green Abel, although the first game was like this, too. The rest of the gameplay is still very survival horror, though, so even though the game tries to incorporate elements from games such as Assassain’s Creed or Far Cry, it is still rooted in the genre it proudly advertised itself as back in 2014 with the last game. The story is memorable, has some emotional moments, and is good in my opinion. However, without spoiling anything, the events of this story almost seem a bit conclusive for The Evil Within’s overall storyline, with only a hint of a possible third game. Adding to this, I purchased this game around the time it came out almost two years ago, and currently, there is still no story-based DLC like what the first game had, where two DLC stories revolves around Kidman’s perspective. In fact, there is no DLC at all. There has been a first-person mode update, so for anyone who prefers playing third-person games in first person (similar to the GTA5 first person option), that has been added since this game’s initial release.Anyway, if you were a fan of the last game in this series, and you love other horror franchises like the ones I mentioned above, or horror in general, this game is worth your time and money, and it’s differences do not ruin its experience.

Recomendado 👍
El juego llegó en buenas condiciones, solo el disco estaba suelto y lo conseguí a un excelente precio (vendido y enviado por Amazon mx). Respecto al juego, es muy bueno, la historia es buena y está bien contada. Me recordó a The last of us, Resident evil y Silent hill.
