Guess I should have purchased the Scosche brand. The adhesive back is holding to the curved part of my dash but unfortunately it is separateing from the black plastic. Will attempt to super glue the adhesive tape to the unit and hope it holds.

I decided to purchase these instead after several failed Nato Mount arms (all broke the same way after a few months). Even if these only last as long as the Nato Mounts, these were cheaper so "better". I've installed these in each of the family cars and use them every day, whether I'm just using them to hold my phone or whether I'm using my phone as my GPS which I do quite often.I've had no issues with the adhesive sticking to the dash, but I would recommend that you find yourself a relatively flat and non-porous area to attach it to and you PREP the area as instructed or with rubbing alcohol, etc. Also make sure the dash is dry before attaching the magnetic arm.In terms of using the metal discs or plates, you can improve the performance by limiting what goes between the magnet and the disc. If you put the disc on the inside of the case or the back of the phone and then put your case on your phone, it will look better appearance wise but won't work as well as if you had attached the disc to the back of the case.

Purchase this product in the past and loved it. I only had it in one car and the plastic stem broke in half in about one year. As far as I know it was not hit by anything but can't say for sure. I purchase this three pack for my three vehicles and they work great again. Only thing to note is that it will not stick to the dash of my BMW. I noticed after trying to stick it to the dash that BMW seems to have more of a rubber like surface instead of the more hard plastic on my other two vehicles. I have not been able to find a contact for the seller to see if there is a solution. Besides that I really like the product which is a very convenient way to keep your phone hands free.

Ok, I have used all the various mounts possible. Vent mounts. Cup holder mounts. Dash mounts. They all suck for one reason or other. If you’ve used them you know why. If you have any flat dash spots (I installed artificial wood over the imitation carbon fiber panels on mine), these stick like any Command Tape. Presumably, I can get it off one day, though there is no pull tab to assist (I will rely on a heat gun). I can’t vouch for how they would work on a textured finish, and I take away a star for not leaving a pull tab to assist in later removal (standard Command Tape practice). Still, these are solid performers if you have a spot in which to mount them.

Only used one of three so far but works great. Followed the directions and cleaned the surface well first, then waited 2 days for the glue to cure before hanging my phone on it. I made sure to install in an area on the dash that is smooth and not textured (not a lot of open areas on a 2015 Tacoma) Phone is pretty heavy, about 6 oz and with a thick plastic protective case and the magnet still has plenty of pull, does not slip around at all (this in a bumpy 4x4 on sucky roads, although i have not fully "off road tested" yet). Nice they include extra 2-sided tape and magnets (round and rectangular) but haven't needed either yet. No issues with the magnet interfering with the phone, so far!

I had purchased a fancier magnetic phone holder kit, and realized that there were other places that it'd be nice to have holders than just in my car. I put one of these in the kitchen and one in my bathroom. I was worried that the sticky tape that I mounted the holder to the glass mirror would eventually fall off with the residual steam/humidity from the shower, but months later it is still holding strong and works great! The one I placed in my kitchen was also mounted to glass, but I wanted to move it. The sticky tape is STRONG, so it will take a small amount of effort to fully scrape the tape off, but it came off cleanly and didn't leave any marks or stickiness. Definitely worth it compared to the expensive single mount I purchased!

I had to replace the sticker that attaches the holder to the car with one they provided in order for it to stick but have had no issues since. It holds strong, hasn’t started falling off
