Description

This vacuum pump oil is a non-detergent, high viscosity oil that has been specifically refined for use with high vacuum pumps. It has been hydroprocessed, meaning that it has been processed through a series of catalytic steps intended to refine the oil into a purer, more viscous, and more stable, state. The end result of this process is a clear mineral oil, which because of its clarity, can better alert you to any contamination when it starts to become cloudy or milky. Each bottle has been sealed directly in the factory where it was processed, protecting it from moisture. It is generally a good idea to change the oil in vacuum pumps on a regular schedule to maintain high vacuum levels. The oil traps and contains contaminants and impurities in the air it evacuates, as well as any water vapor. Over time, the water & contaminants will build up and prevent the pump from reaching its ultimate vacuum.
