Another great Logan tool - make sure to buy more points though!
Easy enough to use, and works great after a little adjustment. I wish tensioning was a little easier to quantify for repeatability but other than that it was pretty much ready to go out of the box! Dont forget to order points with this. Only about 20 come in the box and you can only use their brand with this driver so stock up!

Solidly built tool
This is great for doing framing. It is a very heavy solid tool and doesn't malfunction on me. Now, sometimes I have to be careful because I staple my stuff too tight and break the glass. But that's my problem. The tool is great.

Does its job well and works with both flexible and rigid points.
This point driver has worked very well for me from my experience, used as instructed. It's also got a reasonably comfortable grip that isn't too wide for smaller hands. What I do is hold it flat against the surface of the art/insert to be framed, as well as firmly butted up against the frame edge, and brace the frame opposite the way the driver's pointed to keep the frame from scooting when I fire the point. That, and adjusting the tension correctly (which may take a little bit of trial and error for different materials - don't worry, it's not the end of the world if the tension isn't perfect the first time) seems to generally prevent jams or points not going into the wood correctly. I'm not sure if other customers had defective point drivers, but mine hasn't given me any problems used this way.I researched for a while and considered a few different point drivers, some of them more than double the price of this one, but I ultimately ended up deciding on the Logan Dual-Driver Elite because of both its price point and ability to use both rigid and flexible points. Some drivers seem to be specially designed for one type or the other, and having the option to use either sold me on this one. I'm not a professional framer, though, which may or may not make a difference to someone; I just like to frame my own art as part of my hobby, and this does the job great.By the way, the tool comes with 50 flexible points and 50 rigid points to start with, so you don't need to buy refills right away.

Great tool.
I've been replacing some faded prints in wood frames with more archival ones and used this point driver tool to hold things together. So easy to do a nice, tight job. Just did two today and getting the glass clean was far more difficult. Best to have a nice, solid backstop if the frame is thin, like mine were.

Good product for framers.
I had a hand tool that I was using to insert flexi points. NEVER again this tool was SO much better and I should have made the investment a long time ago. While I am not in the business of framing I have framed several pieces for my home and this tool was worth the investment even if I don't plan to use it that often. It isn't perfect either but a significantly better than the hand tool.

A must for picture frame setting
Pricey but if you are making at least a dozen frames now and may make others in the future suck it up and spend the cash. It’s as easy to use as a stapler. May be even easier. I still don’t fully comprehend exactly how it creates the force to drive every single pin so effortlessly. Once you use it you’ll feel like an idiot for even at first thinking you could drill some tiny holes and stick some tiny nails along the sides of the frame to secure your pictures. I knocked out 14 frames in no time. It’s important to noted that it comes with 100 pins. 50 silver stiff. I used these at the bottom of the frame and 50 flexible black pins that I used on the top and sides of the frames. If you are considering ordering more pins I would recommend the 600 pack of flex pins. I just used the silver ones to use them up and because they were free. This tool is worth the price if you are making more than just one frame. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL COME BACK AND HIT YES. “ THIS REVIEW WAS USEFUL” AFTER USING IT.
