I was worried, I shouldn't have been. This is great!
You are likely here for the same reason I was. You are either looking at a first set of calipers or were burned once already and are unsure if you need to "bite the bullet" and just buy the Mitutoyo set. I have an answer for you. I bought a 3d printer and started getting into producing various items using Fusion360. Early on I realized I needed a set of calipers. I got the cheapest set I could (likely the $10-$20 pair you are looking at now. Mine was from "Adoric" but they all seem to be rebrands from the same factory). Those were **TOTAL GARBAGE**. The Adoric calipers would regularly add or remove 5mm when measuring and made it impossible to produce accurate CAD models. I would have to measure things 3-5 times and watch the screen like a hawk to see if I had "skipped". I gave up in a day and began the search again. For me, spending the $120ish dollars for the legit Mitutoyo didn't seem like great idea and I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money when I really needed "prosumer" grade measurements (practically order of millimeter accuracy though this seems to be accurate to sub millimeter). This set is perfect for that! If you are a machine shop that needs certified accuracy, you know you need Mitutoyo. If you are hobby or home user that needs a reliable and quite accurate caliper, but has a hard time justifying the price (2-3x as of this writing), get this. For me, it's absolutely everything I need! Solid build quality, reliable and accurate measurement to an equivalent or more degree than I could get out of my Prusa Mk3. I was originally nervous I was just buying a more overpriced $10-$20 garbage grade caliper. I am happy to report, I actually got an excellent piece of gear that more than adequately met my needs for what I consider a reasonable price.

Good Tool...Great Price...Happy Customer
THE GOOD: Item arrived quickly. After unboxing, it feels like a sturdy tool. Feels good in your hand. Heavy, with smooth rolling operation when you open or close the jaws. Decent little case. Not great but you're buying a caliper not a caliper case. Tried measuring a few new nickels just to check accuracy...21.21mm on all, so pretty darn accurate. Digital readout is easy to read. THE BAD: The only negative thing I have to talk about is the way it was packed. Just a box the size of the tool case, which contained the tool, inside a much larger box. No packing paper or peanuts. Just lots of air as protection for the tool during shipment. Throw some styrofoam or wadded up newspaper in there guys. However as stated, the tool itself & its accuracy seem unaffected by the mostly unprotected journey. All in all I'm pleased with the purchase. I'm not a machinist, just a shade tree mechanic who dabbles in bicycles & needed a decent micrometer for sizing things here & there. I've only used it the one time to give it an initial check so I cant speak a word to its longevity but so far so good. It's exactly what I wanted. Its accurate, seems well made and I hope to use for a long time.

Solid Quality..
I've never owned a micrometer since I rarely need one, so while I prefer to buy American-made or higher quality products I was not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a Japanese model. I also did not want a cheap or low-quality product either. This stainless model had good reviews and seemed fairly priced. Happy with my purchase. Quality feels solid. Display has several options and is easy to read. Case is also solid and seems well-made. If you don't use these on a regular basis or for a living I can recommend this particular model. IF something happens down the road I will update this review.

Incredible value. Well machined. Built to last.
The first thing I noticed about this digital caliper is that it has a weight to it which indicates the use of high quality machined materials and components. It is very satisfying knowing that you are going to get an accurate measurement. The sliding assembly glides so smoothly across the rails, but does not slip about on it's own unguided. The kit includes a nice cleaning cloth for maintaining the assembly and keeping it good as new. A feature I particularly enjoy is the ability to use the locking screw with a measurement especially if it is in a hard to reach location, so that after the measurement is taken, I can remove the digital caliper and still see the easy to read numbers on the display. It also allows me to trace onto a piece of sketch paper a perfect scale drawing by ensuring the starting and ending marks of my lines fall precisely where they should. I use the caliper mostly for modeling parts that I either 3D print for use with products I already manufacture, prototyping, or for cnc work. For the price, this is the best bang for your buck. Hands down!

Precise and easy to read and well made
I have a cheap analog caliper and put this on my Christmas list. It is so nice to have a better quality caliper for my woodworking. It easy to switch from metric to imperial scales, and imperial fractions to imperial decimal. The main thing for me is that it is very easy to read the numbers displayed on the digital screen. Very precise and well worth the money spent. I was surprised at how solid and we'll made it is and nice case. Even got a card for a free extended warranty a $10 gift card from Tengyes, a cleaning cloth and extra battery. Added video.

It's accurate, but has a rough finish. Excellent value for the price.
I already own a good quality Mitutoyo dial caliper that I use daily, but there are inherent problems with a dial caliper, i.e., the rack and pinion for the dial gage can be damaged by grinding grit and metal chips from normal shop operations, and there is no capability to preset a measurement and zero the instrument. These problems are resolved with a digital caliper. GENERAL: The first thing I noticed was that the finish on the Tengyes caliper was nowhere near the finish on my Mitutoyo caliper. The critical surfaces (inside the caliper blades, etc.) are all finely ground and polished on the Mitutoyo. The critical surfaces on the Tengyes are adequate, but lack the fine finish of the Mitutoyo. The sliding action of the Tengyes was "sticky," and the sliding surfaces seemed to be covered with a light coating of some sort of waxy substance. I tried cleaning it with acetone, but it dried too quickly leaving the wax behind. It cleaned up nicely with some WD-40. There was a significant improvement after cleaning, but the sliding action on the Tengyes is nowhere as smooth as the Mitutoyo. ACCURACY: I tested the accuracy of both the Mitutoyo and Tengyes calipers against the set of Grade B Gage blocks that I use in my shop. Both calipers were "dead nuts" accurate on several individual gage blocks and gage-block stacks. SUMMARY: While the finish on the the Tengyes caliper is a little rough (compared to the much-more-expensive Mitutoyo), The accuracy of the Tengyes caliper is more than adequate for my needs. It's an excellent value for the price. ADDENDUM: I just discovered that the Tengyes digital caliper, in addition to displaying metric and decimal inches, also displays measurements in fractional inches. For example, 4.78 mm can also be displayed as 0.1875 in. or as 3/16 inch. A pleasant surprise! Saves me from having to consult my conversion tables for fractional inches.

Excellent caliper
Do you always want to buy an expensive caliper? You don’t have to when I bought mine I questioned its capability I can do millimeters I can do thousands I can do fractions this is something you don’t want to be without if you want accuracy don’t spend a lot of money get this product. It will help you to get the job done, right

Battery life is not good.
You better have a spare battery or two regardless of how much you use it. I toss a coin as to whether it has a dead battery or not. It just eats them stored and turned off. Otherwise it works well, except when the battery is low some the 132nd show up very faded. New battery and it brightens up. to bad about the battery issue. I have owned this for a coupler of years.
