All in one tool that works great
There are several items as part of this package. I will review them one at a time.1. Crimpers pros are the multifunction all in one tool.first there are wire cutters and are very sharp and precisely cut the CAT5/5e. The cutters are not meant to cut heavy gauge wire.Next there are two wire strippers, one for round cable and one for flat cable. I can't speak to the flat wire stripper because I don't use flat cables but the round CAT5/5e stripper worked perfectly without knicking any of the inside wires. Although I would warn that the round cables can become more oval when handling but just a quick squeeze to reshape the cable before using the strippers works perfectly. Finally you have the actually crimping function. I only used the RJ45 8P8C but there are RJ11 6P and 4P crimps also. The RJ45 connector slid in easy and hit the stopper without pushing through too far. A firm squeeze on the handles crimped the connector. The handles are just long enough to provide good leverage without using two hands to squeeze. The one con for the crimps are it doesn't have a ratcheting mechanism or a final click when the crimp is complete. But as long as you perform a full closure of the handles the crimp comes out great everytime.2. Testers pros are the ease of use and versatility to use with RJ45 8P and RJ11 6P connectors. The testers attach together which is great when testing a short patch cable and can be reverse attached to keep the test ports on the same side. I used these between three floors without the need to constantly run up and down stairs to check connections. I was not able to find any cons with the testers.3. Stand alone wire stripper - There's not much to these but it does work well. There are several different stripper positions for different sized cables. It is very easy to slide the cable into a smaller position and knick all the inside wires. Also you don't want to rotate the strippers around the wire too many times because it will dig in and knick the inside wires. As a bonus on the stand alone strippers is a punch down tool for seating the twisted pairs into a jack assembly. The only con i found with the stand alone stripper is it's not very heavy duty but to be honest I will use the wire stripper on the crimpers most of the time.Overall at this price this package is a very good deal and would be a good addition to a tool set. One last mention is this would not hold up well for everyday professional use but as occasional use this will hold up great.

Easy to figure out Bought for RJ45 (Cat5E, Cat6) Home Improvement
TL;DR This item is sturdy, cheap and complete, no issues at all, for my purpose 1 YouTube vid and a $15 gigabit switch were all I needed besides this item to finish my job, mind you I've never altered a cable in my life.As a disclaimer, I bought this for the sole purpose of connecting my own home internet connection because the home builders did not and neither did my internet company.Essentially, I bought the house with ethernet connections in the wall which I could not use since AT&T has very cheap fiber and since we have no central network box/cabinet in the closet all the ethernet cables go to the attic and just hang there disconnected, while the fiber modem is just does it's own thing in my room. We did not want to bother with routing more holes in our walls to connect the fiber setup into the attic and also wanted all the connections to be in line of sight so we opted for a different solution:In my room is an ethernet port, I connected the modem into the ethernet port. Then, using this kit, I crimped all the ethernet cables (rj45 cat6), then connected them to the gigabit switch (we have a plug upstairs, need one for the switch). Now we have ethernet throughout the whole house. (wherever there is a port)Now that my use case is out of the way, on to the review:The kit was incredibly easy to handle, a quick video was all I needed to get it going, I was incredibly careful about the order of the cat6 colored cables because I have never done it before so I didn't want to mess up (checked the order every step of the way at least three times). There were no issues at all and now I have excess connectors and tools for odd jobs my family might need me for.If you think you might be getting less quality I cannot speak for that because I was not unlucky enough to get a bad batch, but from my experience with this product, it deserves a solid 5 stars and I would give 6 if I could because it simply was so cheap.Hope I provided a good perspective, please click the "Helpful" button if you think I was.

Pretty good...
Pretty good. Does mess up some ends though. Bought their brand name ends to see if that makes a difference.

Worked well for making ethernet cables to wire house
We pulled CAT6 cables in our house to connect the various floors using a hardwire backbone. This required using long runs that had to be terminated using the RJ45 connectors. After researching how to line up the individual strands, this crimp tool came in very handy to professionally crimp all the cable ends. The kit came with everything we needed including a wire stripper (which we only discovered after manually stripping a bunch of cables) and some RJ45 connectors to get you started. It takes a while initially to line up the strands but after a few tries, it became pretty seamless.

Easy to Use!
I thought it was going to be a bit tricky to use. First time I used it was at the top of a ladder with only 8" of wire sticking out the wall. Instruction were good, followed them and all steps were well performed by the tool. Glad I bought it. Save money and time over buying new cables and rerouting them. Recommend for sure!

Heavy duty steel frame construction, contractor grade. Saves time and money.
This review evaluates the “RJ45 Pass Through Modular CAT6 Crimping Tool” made by SOLSOP.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. What’s in the box: one (1) RJ45 pass-through modular CAT6 crimping tool, one (1) wire stripping tool, and two (2) spare cutter blades.First impressions: Good quality. Standard fit. Easy to use. If you have never used pass-through modular plugs, you have no idea how much more convenient and easier they make termination jobs! The installation process is quicker and more reliable; you don’t have to worry about a wire miss-feeding once you push it in. This crimper is designed for these connectors although you can also use this crimper on conventional modular RJ45 plugs too. The frame of the tool is made of heavy steel and is well put together. It has a built-in sheathing stripper that worked very well with different brands of CAT5E and CAT6E cabling that I tried. The modular plugs fit precisely into the metal shoe (not a plastic shoe like some other crimpers and the handle smoothly crimps the modular plug and trims the protruding pass-through wires in one clean motion. The crimper is non-ratcheting, which I prefer because it gives you more control of the cam-over at the end of the crimp. The protruding wires are cut perfectly flush as can be seen in my pictures. The crimper also has a convenient handle locking bar to keep the tool compact in your tool pouch. There also is a handy wiring chart for straight and reverse cables on the side of the tool.Only time will tell if this product has similar longevity and durability as other competitive products on the market. Therefore, I will monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with the product, it is well-made, convenient, and easy to use. At a current price of $39.99, I feel it is fair value for the quality and functionality delivered. In summary: the “RJ45 Pass Through Modular CAT6 Crimping Tool” made by SOLSOP is made of good-quality material, is tough, and does the job well. It speeds up installation and reduces defects. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Heavy duty steel frame construction, contractor grade.✔ Ergonomic handle.✔ Built-in handle lock.✔ Built-in sheathing stripper and wire cutter.✔ Built-in wire straightener.✔ Metal crimping shoe.✔ Non-ratcheting crimp with cam-over.✔ Replaceable cutting knives, 2 spare cutting knives are included.✔ handy wiring chart for straight and reverse cables on the side of the tool.✔ Wire pass-through design speeds up installation and reduces defects.✔ Fair price and good value.Cons👎:✘ None.

Inexpensive, Just Works
The combination of tester and crimper is a great starter kit for getting you moving on handling your own wiring. This kit saved me hundreds of dollars, as running RJ45 cables is super cheap, but having someone do the crimping is expensive. After your first crimp or two, you'll have the knack for it, and can save yourself a ton. And the tester means you can make sure it'll work.

Only done a couple of test crimps and both worked perfectly and tested good with data, so very happy with the product and fittings.
