Overall good product. The sock portion fits normal - ie no compression (i'm a size 9 Mens). When you wrap the bands around gives you good snug support. Only issue is the criss crossing of the bands can create one or two thick lines which can cause hot spots. Also i think the thickness of the sock - right where the ball of your feet meets the beginning of the sock can be a hot spot. I think for short duration - working out walking running etc its good. may not be good to wear all day. I have not tried putting on a sock first then this over it to tone down the hot spots. overall happy and would recommend. i also purchase compression ankle socks, i think they would be more all day wear and this would be for short term stints (as mentioned)

Detailed and informative review below :)Just bought 2 of these thinking it was 2 pair. Very glad I bought 2, as it’s really only 1 sock per qty, not 1 pair. Keep that in mind when ordering.It has a great name for its functionality - “U pick”...literally. Read below:1. If you need it for ankle support, you put your toes in facing one direction and the straps are attached to the back of your heel/Achilles tendon - meaning it would give you more ankle brace type support.But...2. If you flip the sock around which changes what side your toes come out of, The attached straps will then be UNDER your foot, which would give you more strap length to wrap around your foot vs your ankle - thereby providing more support for plantar fasciitis.I bought these for plantar fasciitis and have wide feet, USA size 9.5W. You should be able to see in my picture that by having my foot in the sock the way I do, I was able to wrap the straps 2x around my foot and 1x around my ankle. It’s very supportive, both ankle and foot. So far so good.I’m a “bare foot inside the house” type of gal so I am LOVING the uncovered toes. I have plantar fasciitis because I don’t wear shoes in the house, suffer from flat feet...and have hardwood floors. Triple whammy, lol. So these socks are great. Provides compression and support without a shoe while still being comfortable and not being annoying. I noticed immediately with my first test walk around that my pain had reduced some.These socks are super high quality fabric, like a thick trouser type sock. Straps are high quality too. ***There is a little piece of paper in the package of each sock. READ THE PAPER! It tells you specifically DO NOT attach the Velcro strips directly to the sock. PAY ATTENTION to that. The sock is highly quality, yes - but it’s still fabric. Velcro on fabric will rip the sock to shreds very easily. So make sure that you ONLY secure the end of the Velcro strip to the necessary spot on the strap itself. NOT onto the sock. You’ll be sorry if you don’t follow that advice.Walking around with 2 lengths of strap under my foot you’d think would be uncomfortable but it’s actually not. It’s providing the same sort of support as other plantar fasciitis supports like gel inserts or orthotics for shoes. I really like them. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars to the “support” category is because I wish the straps were longer to get under and around my foot a 3rd time. Otherwise these are great.Last but not least, the fact you have straps means it’s fully adjustable. I love that part. Doesn’t matter how wide or large your foot is, you should easily be able to get the straps around your ankle and foot at least once if not twice. And since it’s adjustable If my foot is swollen one day, I can adjust how tight the sock is to accommodate.

The sock and straps are comfortable. This brace did not come with instructions(I looked them up through the order) and can be confusing. I had it on upside down the first time I put it on. I intended to use it during a soccer game and it fit fine over the sock and in my cleat. No issues there. It did not provide the support or relieve the pain as I thought it would. Wearing it around prior to playing, it seemed to provide some support. If you need something for day to day, this might work. Look for something else for active play or work.

Very happy with this as keeps my ankle stable at exercise so less painful , would recommend
