A gamble paid off - Great socks.
Received these in a nice tidy box in perfect condition and very promptly from purchase date. The fabric of the socks themselves feels completely different to many of the normal socks and even to that of the couple of "compression" socks I have currently. On inspection you can see the weave of the fabric is extremely tight, giving it almost a smooth feeling until stretched, or put on. On putting on the sock it is very clear that the compression is weighted heavily at the ankle vs the top of the calf. For me this was a godsend as I have 37cm calves at their thickest point and yet these in medium fit very comfortably around the top, whilst giving a very firm amount of compression support throughout ankle foot and calf. The last but by no means least aspect of the socks I am very happy about is the breathability of the socks. On some cheap compression socks (Sports direct compression socks) I have found my feet get extremely hot. Progressively getting hotter and hotter throughout the run, not to mention uneven compression due to similar fabric throughout. The socks physix socks give very good ventilation and with enough compression to keep some warmth through your feet on slow segments. My only run in them so far has been in November, so we will have to see how they fair in summer. But I think they will cope very well. AS they do not focus on padding. The lack of cushioning may or may not be a problem for some, but I had trouble with overheating feet, and the thicker padding of socks I find can contribute to more heat. And personally extra warmth I can do something about, whereas further cooling leads to the socks never being used! I would definitely recommend these socks as a reasonable price point for a pair of very nicely made compression socks. TL;DR: Firm even compression socks with no extra padding and good ventilation.

Finally no swollen feet or ankles
As a frequent flyer for my job (sometimes 4 flights a week) I often spent my first day in the office and first day back at home with really painful feet due to a mix of plantar fibromatosis and swelling. Yesterday I wore these for the first time on a double flight and I cannot believe the difference. Firstly the socks are really comfortable. They come right up to the back of your knees so put them on before you put your jeans on! They are really snug and feel incredibly supportive. After 12 hours it was great to take them off but the relief of not having ankles that looked like muffin tops was heaven, and today I can walk without any pain at all. If you are someone who's feet always swell up on a flight you just have to get these socks. The quality is great and the results speak for themselves.

Good Quality product ( not for size 13 feet though )
Originally I got the largest size for me so I could use these, unfortunately they didn’t fit on my feet ( size 13 ) so couldn’t use them. I gave them to my dad instead. My dad has varicose veins and hes been wearing them. He’s told me they are very good and one of the main reasons he wears them is that they are warm. ( probably because the socks helps his legs with blood circulation which results in warmer legs )

Changed my running performance overnight!
I have to say these for me are a godsend! I have been involved in fitness for 30 plus years and physically I'm at a great level of fitness. However the years have taken their toll and recovery times are longer (Aches) and injuries are more prone these days. I joined a running club in October and based on my race times I was placed in the 2nd fastest group, so my training ramped up pretty quickly (Shock!). Running hard 4 times a week is putting pressure on my calves causing tightness and one of my Achilles was screaming pain which really bugged me. I tried the 3/4 compression sleeves, but these did nothing, I think because they don't envelop the whole foot. The runners in the club recommended full length socks so I gave these a shot. I put them on for the day prior to my evening run and found them comfortable and not too tight. (As opposed to the sleeves) Then during my evening run I blasted out and waited for the pain to kick in (About 3 km) and waited, nothing! Fantastic. Allowed my to enjoy the run and produce some great results. When I got home I kept them on for about 30 mins and the following morning wore a fresh pair for the day. I cannot recommend these enough and will buy more pairs. Don't be off put by not being ultra tight as their guide says this may have negative results and I concur based on my sleeves. I can definitely say these have helped me pre-run and post run and have helped dissipate my calf tightness and Achilles pain. Considering I paid nealry £30 for my sleeves from a well know skinnn company I can't complain about the price either .

Less swelling after just one day
I've had swelling / water retention in my feet and ankles for over a month or two now and have been waiting on blood tests from my Doctor to determine if it's another health issue or my medication for said health issues or what.. but in the mean time I thought I'd give home treatments a try to see if it helps. These socks look nice with a hint of colour which is great, I didn't want 'medical' looking socks to point the issue out- and black is slimming so a good choice for an area you're having issues with swelling. They feel comfortable and high quality, and while I could feel the pressure at first I quickly got used to them after an hour or so. My only fitting issue was that even without the swelling, I have a chunky build and large calves- of which the top of both socks I felt something snap and had one or two loose threads. They didn't continue to unravel though, just one or two strands pulled out and they looked fine. I did however half to fold down the top half way through the day, because they were digging into the crease of my knee quite harshly. After just one day though, I've noticed results and the swelling has gone down a bit! Still need to continue wearing, but I can finally fit back into some of my shoes (I've only been fitting into slippers for a while now!). It's still a treatment rather than cure, but I'm very happy with the effect until my Doctors can get to the cause.

Older user
I bought these following a pulmonary Embolism as compression socks had been recommended due to having a desk job. Being an older user my legs are fatter than they were (but not fat) and I find these far too tight at the top and certainly cut into my leg too much if worn all day. They are good quality and if I wore them for sport I am sure they would be good. But if you are of an age where your legs are no longer slim, I don't think these will suit you.

Great compression socks for a first time user of them
I've only used these a couple of times so far but they seem to have had a definitely positive effect on how tired my feet are, throughout the day. Each time I have worn them I have been up and about for the entire day and evening 7am to midnight; I noticed a significant difference, finding that my feet and lower legs were not tired and aching like they would usually be. These socks, and the ones I wore them with, are breathable as far as I am concerned and kept my feet dry, as well as feeling fresher so no problems there. The socks stayed up each time the whole day and didn't cause any pinching or bunching of the material. The design with the colouring is actually quite practical as well as being aesthetically pleasing, well to me, as it allows you to make sure the sock is on right which I have found to be important with better socks. The item was as pictured and the images are a good representation of what you will get. I found no issues with seem's or anything inside causing issues. The sizing was just right for me as a size 10 with a fairly wide foot and the top of the sock went over my calves easily enough. I haven't seen any signs of durability problems so far but time will tell on that point. I should note that I did wear them with my normal socks over the top to make sure my foot wasn't sliding around inside my shoes. The material is fairly slick and therefore if your shoes are loose I think these would mean that your feet slip around in the shoes. The items were packaged well and arrived in good condition and I will have no problem buying these again. It should be noted though that I haven't ever tried compression socks before so I dont really have anything to compare them against other than normal socks. I do think that if I decide to get a few more pairs I will most likely by these ones again.

Service is 1st class
Well what can I say about theses socks , after being diagnosed with an unsuspected DVT at 45 which was a massive shock .. I thought I had just over worked my legs muscles for the first few days until the pain became unbearable , and I’ve always been active gym , cycling . so I was given the standard DVT socks from the hospital to wear they aren’t the greatest as soon as u get up and walk about they are at the bottom of your ankles which aren’t basically fit for purpose they are fine for when I lie down or go to bed . Which I still use them for .. But I needed some sock that would stay up .. and I found theses on amazon , what can I say they have been a god send , as I had stoped training as my feet would swell up and the pain behind my knee would come back and I would get a constant ache .. but these socks . Have changed my life again sound nuts when I read this back about a pair of socks but its true .... they fit really well and the best of all they stay up and are comfortable and my pain is to a point we’re i can train easily .. and not have to worry about swelling or pain .. I’ve actually come back on here to buy another pair .. 1st class service and 1st class product .. deffo recommended ..
