I purchased this after a wood chip managed to get behind my glasses and scratch my eye. I have used it for several hours at a time while pruning trees and cutting logs. The ear protection is as good as my regular muffs, the screen allows airflow while keeping wood chips away from the face, and the helmet has preotected me from some nasty bumps when I stood up under a branch or a branch fell closer than I expected. The adjustment mechanism works well and allows the helmet to be adjusted snug enough to stay on securely, even while bending over. This helmet is lightweight and comfortable to wear and exceeds my expectations for homeowner safety gear. Aside from the protection, I like the fact that it doesn’t prevent me from using earbuds and provides enough muffling so that I can comfortably listen to podcasts or music while I work. This is much more convenient than separate ear muffs, goggles and head protection. The screen not only provides full face protection but eliminates the problem of fitting goggles over glasses and dealing with goggles fogging over. I appreciated the assembly video so I was confident that the helmet was assembled properly, and the follow up emails from the company were friendly and professional. I have not had a need to use the polycarbonate face shield yet, so cannot comment on its functionality.

Shipped quickly. Excellent packaging & instructions. I like the ease of assembly, quality ear muff attachments with metal (!!) pivots, quality face shield and firm shield attachments. Also like the chin strap & suspension system plus headband adjuster. The best thing is that it protected my head when I slipped and did a short face plant into a tree trunk. The helmet took the impact instead of my forehead!! I bought this after returning one from another brand that was extremely hard to assemble and had plastic pivot for the ear muffs that popped off every time I tried to rotate the muffs. The No Cry helmet is MUCH better!

My chainsaw helmet appeared to have been returned by a previous buyer, as it was partially assembled (with some twisted straps, and a few minor scuffs on the ear muffs. It was also missing the clear shield, shown in the ad.) (Hence the 1 star deduction.) After I disassembled, and reassembled rather than returning it, since I needed it immediately, (and I intend to beat hell out of it, since it is chainsaw helmet, and not a piece of art.) I now have a truly excellent chainsaw helmet. It is lightweight, sturdy, comfortable, and really quiets the noise of a chainsaw. The suspension system is easily adjustable, and holds the helmet firmly, comfortably in place, even going through thick brush. In 4 decades of motorcycling, I almost never wear a motorcycle helmet, due to past neck injuries, etc, but this chainsaw helmet doesn't bother my neck at all. Also, I was quite impressed with the printing inside the box, which really made for a gift-package worthy presentation. I'm not a fan of logos, and being turned into a walking billboard, so I don't love the logos on this helmet, though the reflective material used for it makes it more utilitarian, and less objectionable. All in all, I love this thing! Highly recommended!

Have used the helmet for 10 hours now, sawing and mowing. It is well made and comfortable. Assembly was simple. Got some gloves that are also very good.

For the weekend user who runs a saw a few days per year for firewood and yard work, this is perfect, will last a long time, good noise protection and screen worrks good for sawdust.

I use it as a professional Hydrovac Operator. Blasting earth with water pressure of up to 3000psi can send a ton of debris flying your way...trust me I learned the hard way. I have not tried the plastic face shield (nor will I, as I do not like solid face shields for my work), but the face screen is perfect for what I do. The adjustable ear protection muffles the intense sound of my Truck, without completely deafening me. I can still hear other sounds around me, which is perfect for maintaining auditory sense awareness of my surroundings...a good thing in busy and dangerous construction yards. The plastic for the helmet itself feels a little flimsy, but is ANSI approved. The adjustable strap is completely adjustable and the overall comfort of the set is impressive. Not heavy or cumbersome. Great Product. I'm glad I bought it. UPDATE: The 'rachets' which control the height setting of the face shield are made of cheaper plastic. They wear quite quickly causing the mask to fall in front of your face. Quite annoying when I didn't want it down. I replaced the helmet after 1 year of use. Not horrible, but not great either.

The ultimate product it has everything you need for protection and is fully adjustable. Very impressive it was well packed and easy to assemble. Thank you
