Great fun!!
The box is not only beautiful it makes the perfect wrapping for a white elephant gift. This turned my gift into a gift in a gift. Everyone enjoyed taking their turn trying to solve the puzzle.

A fun way to give a small gift inside it!
I gave money to my 12 year old niece last Christmas in this box. It was fun seeing her try to open it. I gave her little hints and I finally had to tell her how to open it. She remembered it this Christmas so it apparently was a hit with her! Great for those that love puzzles!

There Was A Secret And I Was The Last To Know And I Am Not Okay
Five stars. It is Toby. I need everyone to sit down. There was a box. A wooden box with sliding parts and rotating parts and a little drawer situation and several things that moved in ways I did not immediately understand but approached with the confidence of a professional who has successfully defeated every enrichment toy placed before him including the ring, which I want to remind everyone I emptied in under forty-seven minutes. Dad put it on the floor in front of me and stepped back with the expression he makes when he thinks something is going to take a while. I worked the box. I pushed the sliding part. I rotated the rotating part. There were treats inside the obvious compartments and I extracted them efficiently and without drama because I am six years old and I have done this before and I know how boxes work. I was finished. I stepped back. I looked at Dad. Dad was looking at the box with an expression I did not understand. He reached down and pushed a part I had pushed, but differently, and then slid a part I had slid, but in a different order, and then a compartment opened. A compartment that I did not know existed. There were treats in it. I want you to understand what happened in my body at this moment. I had declared victory. I had walked away. I had looked at Dad with the confident energy of someone who has completed a task and is ready for acknowledgment. And there were additional treats that I did not get because there was a secret and nobody told me about the secret and the box had been keeping the secret the entire time I was working it. I ate the treats. Dad gave them to me. But it was not the same. It will never be the same. I have thought about the hidden compartment every day since. I have gone back to the box. I have pushed things and slid things and I have found no additional secrets but I know now that secrets are possible and that changes everything about every box, every surface, every object in this house that I previously considered fully investigated. The treat ring has a hidden compartment. I am sure of it now. The loaf pans. The case that smelled like nothing. The cat ornaments. All of them. I am starting over on everything. — Toby, Age 6, One-Hundred-Eighteen Pounds, Whose Entire Worldview Has Been Restructured By A Wooden Box, The Compartment Was Real And So Is My Vigilance

Super cool, best way to give cash!!
This was the best thing ever! I had my brother for Christmas and he is notoriously hard to shop for. I didn’t want to just give him cash so the puzzle was perfect for making the gift fun and different! The puzzle was really fun to figure out, it was passed around the whole family and no one could figure it out! It is really simple to solve when you find the solution or someone shows you, but it’s hard to solve it if you don’t know the solution. 100% worth it, if you are thinking about getting this, make sure you know how to solve it yourself so when everyone else gives up you can show them and look amazing!

90% of people will need directions to open.
I gave it 5 stars but I'm not sure it deserves 5 stars. My issue is that it's almost impossible for someone to figure out on their own. So, when giving as a gift, you kind of want them to eventually figure it out. If you buy it for yourself then it's not an issue. It's actually a benefit that it's ALMOST impossible to open without directions.

Awesomeness
Excellent quality. Nice presentation. It was so much fun watching the recipient figure out how to open it. Very cool puzzle box!!!! They actually thought the box was the gift! Money was an added bonus. They are going to bring the box to others to do. Great find!

Fun! Fun! Fun!
I bought this to use as a gift box for a pair of sunglasses and it worked out well! It took my daughter an hour to get to them. Yay!
