RESULTS Coaching: The New Essential for School Leaders

I've read Jim Knight's Instructional Coaching book (theoretical, but a good intro), Building Capacity for Teacher Success (great ideas for building specific strategies for differentiating coaching for teachers, but a little too good to be true with examples), and Student Centered Coaching (solid, but a whole book wasn't necessary) and this is by far my favorite. If you have solid content/business skills but the coaching/moving people to action part is what you are tying to stregthen, this is the book you want. There are real examples, excellent strategies that have worked for me and entirely changed my effectiveness as a coach. My favorites are controlling a zig zag conversation and the reflection tasks throughout the book-as you read it you apply it to build your coaching.

This book cause me to reflect on my own coaching behavior as an instructional leader. It has a lot of practical applications and good examples of coaching conversations. I didn't give a 5-star on this book because I am missing the RESULTS COACHING NAVIGATION SYSTEM visual in the book's inside back cover. The Table of Contents indicated that it's found on page 000, which is the inside back cover, but it was not there.I hope the publisher and author will be able to read this review and send me a copy of that visual.

I wish there was an audible version... This book is really very informational and inspiring but it is such a long and dry read for someone who is not quite fond of reading. Please create and audible version.

I was anxious to get my copy...Ive attended training under Ms. Kee and her book is a wonderful extension of that experience. She writes in a practical honest voice which speaks to those who wish to play a part in helping others with their thinking and planning regardless of their field of work. This needs to be on your shelf and well-thumbed if you are in any capacity of leadership

Great communication and listening skills are presented in this book. The application has the power to transform personal and professional relationships, elevate the effectiveness of leadership skills, and produce results that exceed expectations.

Required for class but has very good information for those that lead others.
