The smell is mildew.
Fits great, looks great. The color is nice (coral). Comfortable but not elastic. Feels premium and durable. Installation was easy, slid on with ease. Great for the price even with the percentage off and different compared to the 3rd party products (Off brand). and the smell shoud go away if i give it a vinegar wash. But its smell like an old, old dish sponge, to mind you.

Paying for Quality
Personally, I have had many watch bands irritate me in the past, so I decided to snag this one while it was on sale since I knew the one that came with the watch didn't. Albeit expensive, I think this is worth the price, being guaranteed that it will work for you and you don't have to try your luck with sketchy sellers. The porcelain color is a nice beige and totally inoffensive to any fit. If you're coming from a different watch band, this is definitely the most comfortable one I've tried (I haven't tried the fabric ones). I forget that I'm wearing it! Original one I had seems to be holding up well, too, except the texture which is expected with silicone. If you're on the fence, I undoubtedly recommend to purchase.

Great for the deal price
The band itself is lightweight and of great quality, but the watch connecting parts do lack precision and wobble for half a millimeter here and there. For a first party band that costs 60$ at MSRP this is unacceptable, but for a 9$ "get it off my storage" price, its ok.

Good band
Has been my favorite band so far! Easy to put on and take off.

Not really one-size-fits-all
Nice color and it feels comfortable, but it's a little big, even when it's tightened as much as possible. I'll wear it sometimes, but for everyday use, I'm sticking with the stretch band from the Google Store.

Super unique look and comfortable fit
This is probably my favorite watch strap/band for the Pixel Watch. I had a first-gen Pixel Watch and recently upgraded to the smaller 41mm Pixel Watch 3, and this band fits perfectly as it uses the exact same connectors as the original and Pixel Watch 2. The color is lovely; a bright mix of orange and coral—and it even fluoresces under blue LEDs and UV/black light! It's NOT stretchy like the Stretch Band (which feels more like a comfy sweatshirt for your wrist); it is a very inelastic woven material. It's still comfortable and lightweight, though—just not really “soft.” The adjustment and fastener are… unique, and took a minute to figure out. But once adjusted, it stays fairly well and I've never felt like it's going to come undone. It's a bit pricey (like all first-party Pixel Watch bands), but I think it's worth it—especially on sale!—due to the quality and seamlessness of the watch band connector compared to cheaper, third-party options.

Band stretches and breaks
This is my second band in six months. This one was purchased in July and is already starting to stretch. What can be seen is very minimal but after two months it's started the stretching process which ultimately ends with the band separating from the watch. Last one lasted about 5 months. And Google calls this their active band. I merely shower, exercise and live everyday life like the rest of the world. I am a retired soldier who doesn't work. So I am certain there are other consumers throwing more than average wear and tear at these bands. Completely disappointed in the quality of workmanship, especially that it is Google who is manufacturing these not very reliable active bands. And for the most part are usually expensive like 50 dollars expensive. I got this on sale so I am not as upset but I would be weary of your band purchases if you plan on using this band daily. But two months of wear and this is the outcome. I don't recommend this active band

Grab one while you can!
I really only bought this because it was an amazing deal at around $10 for an OEM Google band! After adding a black case to my watch, I thought a darker strap might look nice. (My watch came with white.) This band mostly reads as olive in color, but there are a mix of darker strands in there. So, it does go with black. The metal slider for size adjustment is also slightly greenish. I wish it was silver to match the crown of my watch, but oh well; it barely shows. The fastener is unusual. It’s basically an oval shaped snap. I have to use my thumbnail to pry it open. The adjustable part is buckled onto one strap. You slide it along the strap to adjust the fit. You pretty much have to take the watch off to adjust it. So, it can take some trial and error, but once it’s set you don’t have to think about it again–no debating which hole you normally use when you put it on. I also didn’t know which strap connected where. I suppose it doesn't matter. I attached the strap with the moveable button on the bottom because I found it easier to put the watch on my wrist with it set up this way. The band is really lightweight and minimal in a way that makes me think of backpacking gear. I like it, and it’s especially easy to recommend at this price.

I bought this in a promotion for £53. Even so I was undecided after reading some of the negative reviews. I purchased the size Large Leather Black band. Pros: -The lug connecter fits the case perfectly with no play or movement. - The 20mm width strap is genuine leather, reasonable quality and fits comfortably on my 190cm wrist. - The buckle is steel, not plastic. - Adds a premium look to the watch, in preference to the very comfortable sporty looking silicone OEM strap. Cons: - The lug connector is black on a silver case, which I like, some may not. - Even the large size strap is NOT as long as the standard OEM silicone one? When fitted the strap just about fits in both keepers, this is with only one hole remaining. So effectively using the last hole will mean the 2nd floating keeper will simply move around the strap, unless you remove it. Should there be a XL size? I think there should. - There is no branding on the strap, or on the buckle. - Value for money. I wouldn't have paid £80 for this strap. £53 is really pushing it, the only real value is in the lugs connectors, meaning I can use other standard 20mm straps. In a world where Google cellular products are gaining the respect they deserve against the 2 class leaders, unfortunately they have decided to follow the path of overpriced accessories. The watch should have built in lugs, making a propriety interface to the case is unnecessary, especially as a lot of straps now have quick release spring bars for easy strap changes. My opinion is that Google should have had simply made quality branded strap options that fit a standard watch lug fitting, with colour options that suit their branding. All for a premium, but also reasonable price. People would have bought them in droves as it an OEM product. This way, customers will not feel ripped off, as they have limited options. Non OEM strap products to fit this watch, will most likely not have the materials, tolerances or quality control, so run the risk of coming off the watch, so purchase with care..
