Nature's Mace Cat Mace Cat Repellent 40 oz Spray

There are some cats hanging around in my back yard in a couple few spots so I purchased this product to see if it would rid me of the cats. There seems to be no effect after spraying this as directed in the area where the cats are for the allotted time as recommended . As soon as I spray this the cats come and sit where I sprayed fifteen minutes later!! I have followed the mixing directions and shook the bottle with the contents well before pouring into my 1 gallon sprayer, I have nothing good to report about this product. High cost no results. I would not recommend. For the price I wish it were better.

I ordered the concentrated formula and twice I've had to return it because I received the ready to use spray formula. So, I haven't gotten the chance to use it yet. I use the granular formula, and it works well in the grass and rocks but blows away on solid surfaces like my walk and drive.

I HAD TO USE THE GALLON MIXTURE EA DAY FOR THE CATS THAT COME FROM MY NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE. THEY POO ANYWHERE WHERE THERE IS LOOSE DIRT. I WAS ONLY ABLE TO USE THE WHOLE BOTTLE IN 4 SPRAYS SO I WOULD HAVE TO BUY MORE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS OF USING IT 7 DAYS IN A ROW. THE SMELL IS BAD BUT THE FLYS DID GO AWAY FROM MY FRONT DOOR

We have a real issue with feral cats setting up shop in our backyard. Admittedly, I didn't help the situation by initially leaving food and water out for them. What started as four or five cats, grew to well over a dozen. I stopped leaving out food and water, but they still hung around. I began using this Cat Mace product and I noticed that it did not have that great of an effect on them. In fact, I sprayed one area where they hung out heavily, and I later saw cats laying down in the area. I followed the instructions to the T, and yet they still use our backyard for their personal litter box. I also purchased an electronic device that emits a high pitched sound when it detects movement in the yard. I don't believe that device works as advertised as well, but with both the cat mace and the electronic device, along with me not feeding them anymore, there has been in noticeable decline in the feline population in the backyard. There are still a few stragglers, but they still lay in the spots that I treated every day for an entire week. Does it work? I'm not sure.

I have been using Natures Mace products for years. Their Cat Mace really works. In fact I just wrote it down for an elderly woman in Home Depot who was having her poor husband replace all of their newly added flower bed material because of the cat issues!! Lots of unecessary work and expense. Cats really do stay away when product us used correctly. I use the concentrate mixed in a one gallon sprayer. And I love that it is safe for pets and kids!! My favorite product is Skeeter Mace. I live near orchards and rice fields. We just had a pest free bbq last weekend. People were amazed. And this stuff actually smells good. I think I smell a little cinnamon. My friends ALL love Skeeter Mace. Go to naturesmace.com and look at what they have to offer. All natural. Pet and kid safe. You will be very impressed.

As I was considering this product ,one of the things that convinced me to purchase was the fact that it said in the ad that rain would not affect the effectiveness of the product. But when I received the product the directions said to respray after it rained. It also said to spray several days in a row, but it uses 8oz. per gallon of water . The container is only 40 oz. so to do my yard once it took 2 gallons which is 16 oz. so I can only spray 2 1/2 times which is not what I need. One container is 32dollars so it is rather expensive to use. Also ,after using it I still have neighborhood cats wandering and using the bathroom in my yard. I would not recommend it unless you have a really small yard.

I've had a problem for several years with feral cats getting on my porches and "spraying" the walls, porch furniture, and especially the grill. I've tried other products that were effective for a day or so, but the cats would return afterwards and do their dirty deed. I took a chance and ordered Mace Cat. I washed the porches, walls, porch furniture, and grill cover, and after everything dried, soaked everything with Mace Cat. I continued to spray everything every afternoon for 3 weeks. For the past 2 weeks, I've sprayed every other day. For the first 5 days, a cat would get on the porch every night, but never "sprayed". Since then no cats have even come up on the porches. I know this, because I have a trail camera installed on the porch, and can clearly see the results. Prior to this, cats and sometimes even raccoons would get on the porches every night. One of the ingredients in Mace Cat is putrescent eggs, but this isn't listed as an ingredient on the website. However, I don't find the odor offensive - it's certainly not as offensive as the ingredients in other products that I tried, and which wasn't effective at all. I've used this product for about 5 weeks, and is pleased that it seems to be working.

This stuff DOES NOT work at all for neighborhood roaming cats. In fact the population in my yard and back porch has grown since using it. I sprayed super heavy not long before dark, after using it for a couple of weeks in the same area, and my security cameras see the strays laying on the very same spot, like they were attracted to it or something. This crap smells awful and if I were a cat, I would hate it, but cats love it! The only thing that works even temporarily is the granular stuff from TSC, but is expensive and blows away in the wind. Good luck with your cat problem, but this stuff is NOT the amswer.

Stinks and smells awful. But it saved our awful cat problem.
