Although the bowls are a little small for a 145 lb dog, they work for her anyway, even though these are not really for an extra large dog, if you feed twice a day, it's plenty. Our girl used to make such a mess with the water, and I was worried that this would create a bigger mess, but it has actually cut down on the mess, an unexpected benefit for sure! The stand and bowl holders are stable, even at the highest height. The only problem I had was with "older hands", getting the clasp to catch....but the rest of my family handles it just fine! Review: The bowls are easy to take off and put on their pedestal although ... - These bowls were simple to assemble and do exactly what we needed for our dog. The size of the bowls is somewhat smaller than anticipated, but are sufficient for our dog who gets 1.5 cups of dry food at a time. Much more than that (2 cups max) would overflow. The bowls are easy to take off and put on their pedestal although the water bowl is best filled by using a separate cup. For the money, they are decent quality and if they made a larger version, I will definitely purchase when our dog gets bigger.

These Adjustable, Double Dog Bowls are Perfect for Our Son's Dog, Ghost
I love this set of double dog bowls. My son has a large Malamute that was injured when he was younger. They had to feed him on the outdoor patio table so he could stand and eat. When I came across this adjustable height food and water dish set I bought it as a gift. My son sent me a picture of Ghost, his Malamute eating his first meal with his new dish set. The assembly was fast and the bowls are very sturdy stainless steel. The framing is also sturdy enough that the dogs won't knock it over. What a great idea and product. I would recommend this adjustable, double bowl dog dishes to anyone whose dogs have special needs. The only modification my son would like to see is to the bowls; his dog eats 4 cups each meal and it took both bowls to feed leaving no room for water. Other than that he gave this a 5-star review. Bowls are WAY too small for large breed dogs.
It's a solid design, but unfortunately, the bowls are pretty small, and you can't adjust to bigger bowls. Bigger dog breeds are most in need of elevated eating options, and these two-cup bowls won't actually feed any bigger breed. We have a Great Dane puppy, and the two cups of food is perfect for her now...but only for the next four months. We already have to refill the water bowl at least four times a day to keep up with her. It's a great design, and would be ideal...if you could eventually adjust to bigger bowls

Wouldn’t buy again
terrible packaging. My package came like it was once ripped open and they used a bunch of tape to be able to reuse the box. one end of the box was already partially opened. The delivery was terrible. The bowls look so much smaller in person. The images listed make them look larger.

Small bowls, but otherwise good product.
It's sturdy, and the adjustable height is great. The only down side is that the bowls are small. Even if you have a small dog, if he's a messy eater you may been to place a mat under it.

Four Stars
Great but small! My Shepard looks like a giant eating out of these bowls.
