I bought an extinguisher mount that bolts to the seat frame locations and it keeps the extinguisher in place in my car. The extinguisher is small enough that it’s not using up any real space that a passenger would use because of the location and size. Happy to have the little extra safety in the car.

Seems high quality, hopefully never have to find out just how good/bad it is.

Will feel safe having one in the car

Well, after jerking out of sleep at 3:30 in the morning one night, I had the realization that I needed to buy a fire extinguisher - both for my house and for my car. I dunno, it just needed to happen. I put a set of this, paired with an ABC extinguisher for the kitchen. Before i hit check out, I decided that I needed to get a second set for my friend, because, well, between the two of us, we've been long overdue to catch something irrecoverably on fire. Flash forward about two weeks, and it's time to replace the taillights on his Subaru, because I'd borrowed his in order to get an inspection, since they weren't cracked. When I go to install them on his car, a wasps nest had been built inside the quarter panel and my friend determined that the only way to deal with this was to burn it with brake parts cleaner and fire - which was quite successful at destroying the wasps nest. He immediately, after stamping out the fire (inside the quarter panel), walked away and went inside. I started to follow, but turned around before walking around the corner decided to look back at the car, to see a growing flame coming from behind the taillight that I'd just put there - which was starting to melt away. I looked around the car for the extinguisher - ran inside to grab anything and found his car one sitting inside by the door, so ran back out and pretty easily put out what has turned into a five foot tall flame coming from the tailgate. I gotta say that if I hadn't had this, there's a solid chance that his car would have burnt to the ground, and possibly his house too. It's a hugely helpful thing, and I will continue to keep one in stock probably for the rest of my life.

It's difficult to rate a fire extinguisher if you haven't ever used it. I hope I never have to use it. Purchased it for my boat because the Coast Guard said that the ones that I had were out of date. These new extinguishers are a little longer than my originals so I had to spend time remounting them.

Van caught on fire, I had just installed this extinguisher not more than a year ago. Husband was able to put the fire out with minimal damage. If he hadn't had it, we would've lost the whole van and probably most of its contents (it is a work van) Ordering a replacement right away. Only complaint is it took him a while to get the pin out and all the while the van was burning.

I recently ordered two FIRST ALERT AUTOMAR10 Car and Marine Fire Extinguishers, one for our house and the other for the truck. We already had several of them strategically placed around the house for safety, but adding one more in the laundry room felt like a smart move. Installing them was a breeze, and they blend in well with their surroundings. It's reassuring to know that we're prepared for any unexpected situations that might arise. After all, it's always better to be safe than sorry.

This fit with my quick release mount on a UTV, and give me an option should we have a fire. I know how to use extinguishers and after having this for many many months on a UTV it is proving to be durable.
