Very tasty beets, great color and texture. Don't plan on storing for months - heed use-by date.
I've never received a "bad batch" and I'm on purchase 10 or 11 now. The sellers seem like cool people who take pride in their products. I always store in a cool, low drawer, away from light. These are extremely convenient. I typically: 1. Open single package; cut to slices, dice or etc.. 2. Set aside amount for current use, in meal or on the side.. 3. Place remainder in air-tight food-storage (rubbermaid, etc..) 4. Refrigerate remainder and use within 2 or 3 days. I wouldn't recommend storing the unopened product beyond use-by for sure. Their use-by date seems to be pretty accurate. I've never had any go bad before the use-by date. One time, unfortunately left a package in the drawer for a month or two beyond the use-by. The oxidation and breakdown is very obvious - the deep, red color turns to brown, and the product seems to break down by "shedding" bits. If the color is the familiar deep, dark "beet red" and there is no debris, then product is probably fine - though I'd use some sense there. As I said, the seller/mfr know their product, and seem to be quite accurate, if conservative, with their use-by dates - assuming they are stored in a cool, dry place. If product is growing hair, or fur - or if it begins moving about on it's own - I would recommend disposing of it, or perhaps donating it to a a circus or carnival. ;-) In seriousness, I really like these - it's an easy way to add texture, flavor, fiber, vitamins and minerals to any meal. There's a smidge of protein as well - beets are GREAT FOOD! I occasionally add a single diced beet to a meal of brown-rice and something along the lines of, for example, "Tasty Bites" meals. These compliment a variety of flavors- they're not just for turkey anymore. ;-)

Good, but better in France
In France, this is a common item in supermarkets and quite cheaper. You can get a 500 gram (a little over a pound) package for $1.85 *equivalence. They are better there, like most everything else. They are bigger and tastier. Still, I'm glad to be able to buy these in the U.S. without having to fuss with stem, cutting and cooking. I made a salad with cut up beets, crumbled feta cheese, little pieces of apple, and a little baby spinach. It was a nice change from the usual frozen dinners. The sweetness of the beets and apples against the sour feta cheese is delicious. You could add a can of corn as well. I didn't put any dressing. I just like the plain taste, as is. I will buy these again, but the organic ones next time. Maybe they'll be a little closer to those in France. I put all of them in the refrigerator because they will taste better cold.

Easy and tastes great!
To get my beets without the work is great! Fresh wins over canned any day. First bag really nice and 2 to go!

Perfect beets without the hassle
I love beets, but prepping and cooking them, not so much. I've tried the brand that they sell in the produce section at the supermarket, but they're hella expensive, even on sale. Plus, these are shelf stable so I can just open a bag as needed. The beets are great quality and every time I've gotten them they've been packed well. In the winter I like to pickle them (I make a marinade w/vinegar, water, spices, and a bit of sugar - boil for a few minutes and pour over cut up beets in a mason jar). Now that the weather is hot I've been roasting them in the air fryer (cut into chunks, toss with some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and air fry at 400 for around 20 minutes). They get a little crispy/chewy around the edges and the natural sugars caramelize. Yum! They're so good in a salad - or truth be told, just as a nosh by themselves.

Soggy mess
Whoever delivered these to me left them on the porch in the sun. Got home to find a huge soggy mess. I previously bought these and they arrived just fine and were delicious. I won't buy them again.

Beets made easy
I always get my beets through Amazon. It beats cooking, boiling and seasoning without having to wear gloves. And the quality is just as good without the mess!
