I have a 700 watt microwave how much rice and water for 1 person plus how long thanks

1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water is the best ratio to start with then adjust accordingly after you've tried it a couple of times

Pls provide instructions for how much water to use for long grain or white basmati rice. Have tried >10 times different combinations but always makes a mess in the microwave

Dear PA, I have used both Basmati and Brown Rice in this rice cooker. For Basmati I fill to 1" to 2" above the rice with boiling water and cook for 12 minutes on high power. When cooked, all the water is soaked into the rice and I do not have to drain it. For Brown Rice, again I fill with boiling water to 1" to 2" above the level of the rice but I cook it for at least 17 minutes on high power; again I do not have to drain the rice when cooked. can you cook pasta in it

I often cook pasta, I have a 900 watt microwave and put in enough pasta for three people and twice as much water then microwave for 11 minutes and it is perfect. I also do rice but for 9 minutes.
