Curling Jelly Coil and Curl Definer, 227g/8 oz.

This curling jelly works very well for defining coils and curls while still keeping them soft. It provides good hold without leaving hair crunchy or flaky. A little goes a long way, and it layers well with other products. Great for enhancing natural curl patterns while maintaining movement.

Love this product. It is a little pricey, but worth it. It is very light on your hair so doesn't feel like your hairs being caked with product but has great hold. I use it with the as I am leave in conditioner too. And my hair feels bouncy and is still in place (mostly) by the end of the day (and I run around with a toddler all day) also smells great! 😁

Treated myself to this, after seeing some promising reviews online. I first used this along with the moisturiser for twists on wet, freshly washed (3c/4a) hair. My hair felt soft and conditioned, but the twistout only lasted a day before it went fluffy and frizzy in places. I had to retouch the twistout for the rest of the week with another product (Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Curl Defining Pudding), which defeated the object of doing the twistout in the first place....I wasn't impressed! I had to try it again, due to the cost of such a small jar, and not wanting to be wasteful. I done a 'wash n go'. I applied a little of the Asiam moisturiser, then the curling jelly. I used more than I needed to 'just incase',so I was left with white residue (which disappeared when dry), and some 'crunch' when fully dry some hours later. The next morning the crunch was gone, my curls were bouncy and well defined, and no flakes. Six days later I still had definition, but wore my hair up. It can definately last for 7 days if 'pineappled' at night, and covered with a satin scarf. The only con I can find is the price. The amount in the jar does not warrant it.

Smells great and does the job

Not for 4C this Afro hair, this product didn’t do anything to my hair, having used it on a thoroughly washed and conditioned hair. It may be for other soft textured curly hair but certainly not for thick Afro hair. On top of that, it’s expensive as you only get a small tab. Updated review: I have added 2 stars to my initial review and the reason being that, it has left my hair so moisturised and soft for days, the stickiness of the product is gone and my hair feels so soft to touch. Also, it didn’t flake on me at all, and I can feel some coils from underneath my hair when I touch it though not many curls are showing when you look at my hair. Like I said, it may work perfectly for people with slightly looser curly patterns when it comes to curl definition, but for moisture, it’s great even for thick 4C hairs like mine.

I have fine curly hair (mostly 3a) and recently started following the Curly Girl Method. I've struggled with getting definition and the Cantu curl cream was a little too heavy to put on my hair (although it works fine for a light damp refresh). I washed my hair today using this after leave in conditioner spray (Imbue) and before gel. Finally I've got defined curls that aren't weighed down! It's light and easy to make sure you don't get too much on your hands. I didn't coil with brush or fingers and have fully formed ringlets. This stuff is magic, and should last me ages!

USED to love this. Good product and cost under £5. NOW price has nearly double and product is now so runny and useless. Need to return

Best curling jelly for mixed race and Afro carribean hair !! Great definition not too greesy !! Need bigger tubs as it goes very quick and under £8 good value compared to other vendors

J’ai acheté ce produit qu’une copine m’a conseillé je ne regrette absolument pas l’odeur est genial la texture top et elle fait parfaitement son taf boucle bien definies cette gelée c’est un véritable plaisir à l’utiliSation je suis deja a plus de la moitié du pot je pense vite le recommander

Prodotto styling fantastico! Perfetto anche per chi come me ha un riccio di tipo 2b/c non appesantisce assolutamente il capello e non fa il solito "effetto bagnato" lascia i capelli super morbidi. Il profumo è buono sa di cocco ma soprattutto è delicato non da fastidio. Arrivato nei tempi previsti.

I was using MopTop for the longest time, but their price kept jumping, so I tried this. IT'S DIVINE! Not as sticky as Moptop, and does a great job of creating curls in my naturally wavy hair. I love it. I first run California Naturals conditioner through my long hair--just a quarter size in my palm--then a good silver dollar size amount of As I Am, and tit works like a charm! LOVE THIS STUFF! And, it's priced well for long hair, since I go through one of these a month.

This product does not dry out my hair, it defines my curls beautifully.

Fantástica, repetiré sin duda. Lo mejor de este gel (aparte de no llevar siliconas etc) es que tiene el punto justo de fijación sin dejar el pelo "acartonado". Ojo, hay q usar muy poca cantidad, yo utilizo una brocha de esas de los tintes para coger un poco de producto y lo pongo en las palmas de las manos mojadas, lo extiendo por las palmas de las manos y ya me lo voy aplicando en el pelo. Lo uso el día q me lo lavo y por las mañanas para peinarme con los dedos, es tan suave q si hay algún nudo puedes deshacerlo fácilmente y evitando roturas. Seca enseguida (usando muy poco, lo repito) y deja poco "crash", lo puedes dejar tal cual o, una vez seco, apretar los rizos para un aspecto más natural. Aguanta todo el día sin problemas. Mi pelo es fino y poquito con rizo suave y evita el encrespamiento totalmente. Bastante líquido, lo mejor es cogerlo con algo como la brocha q os he comentado sin meter los dedos y, como hay q usar muy poca cantidad (mi largo es melena por los hombros) creo q tengo gel para más de un año.
