Very impressed
Over the years I have bought a few pairs of bluetooth headphones. My favourite pair (Bluedio) finally gave up when the top support snapped, although I'd had a good couple of years out of them at this point. After that I ordered a few at around the £20 price point, but wasn't impressed. The quality was cheap, the charge didn't last, and they didn't last long (the plastic head support broke in every case). Very frustrating. I was loathe to spend too much more, as I use them in the gym a lot and they get thrown in and out of my gym bag, and I could just see myself paying a lot more for what might be a 'premium' brand only for them to break. Oh, in the interests of transparency, I always went for over ear headphones as I can't get on with the in ear ones, and the ones where the band go behind your head instead of over just never sat right on my ears. Maybe I've got a weird shaped head.I came across these by chance, and to be honest assumed they would be the same as the other cheap ones I have owned. They were actually even cheaper, which made me slightly nervous, but by this point my previous pair was being held together with tape and looked embarrassing, so I went ahead and bought them. I have waited a few weeks before reviewing, and of course things could go pear shaped from here, but I have to say that they are great. They feel really sturdy, arrived in a proper box, with proper instructions (unlike some of the generic pairs I have had in the past), the charge lasts for absolutely ages, and the sound, by my reckoning, is really good. Plenty of bass, no shortage of volume. They're comfortable too - the one slight issue is that when I'm breaking land speed records in the gym (either on the rower or treadmill) then they can slip off, but that is a small price to pay for what is in every other way an absolute bargain. One quick update - I see that the price is £19.99. I paid £14.99 which was an incredible bargain. I think that at £20 they are definitely still worth the money.

Beach and plane ready
I've just used my Betrons intensively over a week when they were taken on a beach holiday. the beach was one of those that the neighbouring hotels and passing party boats compete for the prize of best bass line noise pollution. The Betrons kept the outside noise outside, were comfortable over the ear in the heat and lasted all day on the beach... a lot longer than the smart phone they were paired with. Obviously not tried in the water as electricals and sea water dont generally mix well.Good volume and music reproduction, they fit over my ears just and were fairy comfortable for fairly long term wear - at least 3 hours each day in the hot. Occasionally the Bluetooth link "stuttered" on te beach but I suspect that was the phone rather than the headphones as the phone was not enjoying the temperatures. They were used on the jack with the seat console each way on the 9 hour plane journey to listen to films and play games, the nice thing about the jack connection is that they operate like any other headphones and are powered from the equipment jacked into, they kept out the sound of engines and crying infants for most of the journey (Mission Impossible fallout and Infinity War watched outbourd plus games, deadpool 2 and Infinity War -again - watched plus games coming back)They are durable - took no damage after being in hand luggage and carted arund in a beach bag with no apparent damage. I have kept the headphines in the supplied bag along with the jack and charging cables since getting them.I had previously used them listening to music whilst either sat nearby or wandering around the house while paired to the laptop playing music and they had operated without any glitching and with what I regard as good music reproduction, at least as good as other wired headphones I own - I havent tried them with my hifi (and a larger jack adapter) so cant comment on that level of sound reproduction but they are as good as if not exceeding the reproduction of other headphones I have used with phones, other mobile kit and computers.Battery-wise they have run out when left idle over a period of time and when casually used over a period if a week, I havent been specifically monitoring battery duration but it definjitely feels like its pretty good and the holiday usage was 3 - 4 hours a day without any issues but with recharging to kee the batteries topped up.My wife doesnt complain about "noise" leakage from the on-ear headphones either which is handy when she is sat on the same sofa. My choice of music varies from quiet piano or choral pieces to some pretty loud rock and in-your-face material like Marilyn Manson and the NIN so they have been listened to with a wide variety of sound profiles.Feel like a good quality build, most importantly they have good quality sound over jack or BlueTooth and they dont bother people nearby with noise leakage as far as I can tell!

Reasonable headphones but you need a really hard skull
Purchased these to replace my elderly Sony headphones that were literally falling apart. At first glance, these seem to be very well made, the switches have a reasonable tactile feel to them and the ear pads are soft and comfortable. The sound quality is surprisingly dynamic, with neither too much bass or top end at medium volume. At higher volumes, the bass becomes considerably more prominent, and with my tablet Dolby equaliser set to Movie, it was impossible to listen to anything above 75% as the volume was approaching painful levels. Without the EQ, the bass was much less pronounced, but even then listening at full volume was uncomfortable. So sound wise, these are very efficient yet middle of the road, with no particular bias at average listening volumes. At higher volumes everything became much more muddy, which is not surprising.Bluetooth pairing was easy with my Lenovo Android tablet. The battery life is excellent, I haven't managed to exhaust it after 3 hours moderate use. What lets these headphones down though is the headband and the Bluetooth implementation. After 30 minutes use, the rigid headband began to irritate, after a few hours it is unbearable. This precludes these headphones from binge watching Netflix or Amazon prime. Secondly, the Bluetooth cuts out with a distinct "click" after a few moments silence, presumably to save power. This is highly irritating on quiet passages of music or listening to spoken commentary where there may be long pauses. While I am gradually getting used to the Bluetooth issues, it is disappointing that I can't use these for extended periods of time, unlike my old Sony pair that were well padded. For the money, these are not bad at all, but you will need a lot of hair or a hard skull for extended use.
