You have one job - KILL EVERYTHING - amazing fun! NOT FOR CHILDREN!
Just got to play this for a little bit last night (resulting in me being late for work). this game is crazy fun and it is VERY VERY fast gameplay. I really didn't fully appreciate how fast it would be until I sat down to pay it myself. Omg wow you race around 100 miles an hour and yet the gameplay is very smooth, tight and responsive. The only problem with the gameplay is that I couldn't stop playing. This is a proper reboot of the doom games and feels just like it always did. One dead give away was the amount of reversing I had to do, especially when I met my first hell knight. wow those guys need to seriously chill OUT! Its very much like brutal doom in the way that when you brow up enemies there body parts explode into little pieces and their entrails are dripping down off the walls and ceiling. This game is NOT FOR CHILDREN it is extremely violent. Some of the glory kills are seriously messed up, very cool but it would give kids nightmares. I think my favourite two are where doom guy grabs an imps jaw and rips its head clean open, its as nasty as he can be. He also rips off limbs and used then to beat the demons in the face with lmao....so so good. The objectives are very easy to follow and the maps are very straight forward. Some of the rooms (arena areas) are very big so you have lots of space to run around. Some rooms are not so forgiving so be careful not to get cornered. Demons can be on you just as fast as you can move.I had a look at snap map and I just know that will be the ruin of any social life I had once. Its like a massive Lego box and you can literally create your own game if you want, though there are limits to the amount of stuff you can put in each room so your ps4 doesn't explode. You can make gauntlet runs like Raid Mode or "Bloody Palace" like from Devil may cry, with the click of a few buttons. You can come up with amazing ideas and bring them to life. Not only that but you can play them instantly and so can your friends around the world. I have taken a day off work to sit down with this properly and give it my full attention. this is something I don't usually do but this game really deserves it.I don't care about multi player for any game so I'm not going to start with this. Sorry I have no idea if the multiplayer is ok and I don't care either. The main campaign is an absolute buzz to play though and worth purchasing for this alone, especially if you are a speed junkie.Make sure you don't stand around for too long because you will die very quickly. Keep moving and always assume that there is a demon coming up behind you. Oh and by the way, I would try to remember to BLINK during gameplay. I swear my eyes were almost bleeding after 2 chapters of this. Don't underestimate how fast this game is, its just as fast as the original doom and I actually think its got more gore in it.I am proud to be a doom owner and for the teams that put all this together. they deserve a huge shout out of respect for bringing this series back to its original roots in proper style. This is pure carnage, I actually started feeling sorry for the demons I came up against. This is how you reboot a game! To hell with cut scenes or taking a break (although rubbing your eyes every few minutes is advised, you know, before they fall out of your head). To hell with being nice or understanding what is happening around you.You have one thing to do in this game - KILL EVERYTHING!Make no mistake, it is worth every penny and it also should be encouraged.

Hell yeah!
Multiplayer was always a nice addition in Doom games, but imo, never essential. It's all about the campaign and that really is great, it feels and looks like a modern Doom. Okay the closest thing to a glory-kill in the older games was punching when you ran out of ammo, but I think this is an awesome addition, it really keeps things moving rapidly and makes the action so much more fun.The weapons look and sound great and being able upgrade them with things like the mini-rocket launcher on the assault rifle, really does add to the variety. The maps are full of mini secrets and puzzles to discover. The enemies are varied and don't feel repetitive. The soundtrack is exactly what you need to get you pumped for killing demons - grinding metal \m/The multiplayer is generally what you'd expect, not what I bought the game for but it's still lots of fun, I prefer it to C.o.D (which I also play) as it feels much more evenly matched and a lot less frustrating. It's fast paced and fun, lots of simple customisation and upgrading. Okay I don't like to get stuck in to it for hours, but there is still a large element of "oh just one more game" about it.Snapmap just adds longevity to the game in general, an excellent addition though not one I've used a huge amount yet, the maps I have played have been great fun, I'm sure I'll get stuck in to this more once I've completed the campaign. This really is a unmistakably a modernised Doom game. Everything else aside from the campaign is just a nice addition imo, so I wouldn't suggest buying this for the multiplayer alone, not at least until the price comes down. The 1 thing I think that lets this game down is the boss battles, whilst some people love them, I feel they kind of grind things to a halt. They're not overly difficult or anything, but I'd personally rather kill hords in quick succession than have to work out how to kill 1 demon with a big health bar in a small arena.Overall this is the best FPS I've played on the PS4 (and I've played a lot of them), so I'd recommend this to anyone who likes this style of game and/or Doom in general.

That brings warm feeling, but not because it's scary...
Oh yes, I remember playing 1st and 2nd Dooms on my Pentium 100 MHz. Finished both probably 20 times. I remember spending hours playing online through amazing 33600 dial-up connection. When Doom 3 came I also liked it, but not nearly as much as any of first 2 games. And now, finally, we got Doom – not some other game with Doom enemies. I finished it only yesterday and it was a long game. Usually shooters are twice as short and that is enough, but for some reason Doom kept me interested for the whole time. It doesn’t feel like levels are copy/pasted (hello Doom 3), there is nice variety of monsters, there are amazing and familiar guns, there is a story you are interested in etc. It’s one hell of experience – and a pretty one too. ID are known for being tech geniuses and this game is no exception. It loads quickly, looks amazing and performs well no matter how much action is on the screen. If there is one thing I would improve is add 1 or 2 more boss battles. 3 in total felt too little for this 10+ hour game. I actually don’t know how long it took, but feels like 16 hours or so. I was looking for secrets, so that obviously was worth a few hours alone. Found probably 80% only, so I wasn’t paying enough attention. One thing I can’t comment on is multiplayer. I was professional Quake 2 and Quake 3 player at their time, but haven’t played much online for probably 10 years at least. But I don’t think that Doom is that kind of game you will play a lot online anyway – people are used to more complex multiplayer experiences nowadays. During latest E3 new Doom was revealed, so looking for a sequel to such an amazing game. Highly recommended. Especially if you are a bit over 30 and played shooters as a kid.

Il miglior FPS degli ultimi 10 anni. Punto.
