Background: I live in South Central Texas, in the Texas Hill Country where the fleas are stubborn and mosquitoes are plenty!! My 2 cats are both indoor and allowed outside onto their catio enclosed porch. They don't have any contact with grass. However, we take care of a family members cat who is allowed out into the wild. We purchased three collars for my two indoor cats and 1 explorer cat.Experience: When first taken out of it's package the collars the smell is STRONG! But relax, this only lasts a week or so. I have one VERY sensitive cat who has NOT tolerated other collars (his fur can fall out and sores can appear with other collars) has tolerated this collar. Our special needs rescue kitty also does very well with these collars. This is month 2-3 and the collars are still working. We take care of a family members cat who does go outside and roams the property. His collar was lost the first week and we have not found it. So I would say for outside roamers- there is potential for the collar to break and be lost. The one he had last year did stay on him all year. So we gave him the shoulder blade liquid treatment. So far no fleas on these cats and we are seeing the mosquitoes swarm them less. Last year without these specific brand collars the mosquitoes would really swarm the cats on the catio. This year we still might see 1 or 2 but not a swarm like before. It's been raining this year so the mosquitoes are bad.

These do not smell bad to me. The cats don't seem to mind them, and have worn them without any fuss. They do not kill fleas. It's possible they repel fleas, but they do not kill fleas. I'm leaving them on, and using them for the full 8 months for the repellent benefits, but I cannot say I will repurchase them.

This color almost killed my cat! I bought this collar because it said it had like natural ingredients and my kid is getting older and I thought it might be better than some of the chemicals that I had in my Ceresco medicine that I usually use well I should’ve stuck with the Sarasta because it never hurt her like this stuff did just like a day after she had it on she started acting like she was in a daze. She was out of her mind she didn’t know what she was doing. She was she couldn’t hop up on things, and when she did, she couldn’t figure out how to get down and it was getting worse and worse so I thought you know what the only thing I’ve done differently with hers put that collar on so I took the collar off and I still took her to the vet because I wasn’t sure what it was and I don’t wanna take a chance and yeah $107 vet bill. Thank you very much so I would give this rating a zero but you don’t have zero stars so that’s what I would give it and believe me do not use this collar on your cat unless you want to kill it very very scary .

Put new collars on my 2 cats recently & one came home with a dead tick under her collar! The long haired cat is difficult to find fleas/ticks bc she won’t allow combing🙄 but finding that dead tick 48 hrs after new collar was on tells me they work!👍🏻

This is a good flea and tick collar for cats. It does the job, but I do believe that the flea and tick color by seresto is the better choice it works longer and better.

It was really out of control as the fleas were jumping on me. My two cats have been using Frontier so I spent $30/month for nothing!? I added this collar and comb them everyday, from 10 fleas down to zero fleas in about 4 days! I checked on them periodically and zero fleas were found. I'm not sure if using collar itself will work but combine their flea medicine it definitely works! In addition, l really like the smell. They smell similar to the natural essential oil that l have been using.

No allergic reaction from my cats, has a nice mild scent & has protection for months.Will buy again in the near future, thank you!
