certainly does though you might have to push the butter and sugar down the sides with a spatula at the start. cake mixes are absolutely fine and there's a flattish disc that sits on top of cake mixture which keeps it from creeping right up to the top and enables it to mix smoothly. smashing little machine - too small for a big family but ideal for me and my other half.
