Review: Too much uncontrolled wandering - This is my second go at reading, these after a 40 year gap. I liked the First Chronicles but there is a lot of material in the second I find feels doesnt add anything ( various lost wanderings of Merlin where he stumbles along with no real control of where he is going). I understand WHY these are in but they feel like they take up too much space in the overall narrative and left me bored. I am about 4/5 of the way through ... and the book got left out in the recent storms. I honestly do not feel like buying another copy to get to the end (something I would have done for ANY of RZ's other excellent work that I have read). Review: This volume is BADLY named - Its name suggests it holds further Amber novels but this is wrong. It has half of the existing novels. This is another case of publishers renaming books in order to fool customers into further purchases. The novels are good - just badly named.
