Good for meteorites
Before you think I've lost the plot. I collect meteorite fragments. And being they're iron nickel, they will rust if not treated. This oil is perfect for the job. Mineral oil, with rust protection. Which will keep them rust free. See, you learn something new everyday. A great cheap way of keeping something 4.5 billion years old looking as good as it did when it passed Venus.

An unexpected use
I bought this version as the aerosol version is becoming increasingly difficult to reliably source. I use this product for oiling very old, Japanese metallic objects because of its anti-rust additive; a 50:50-mix with traditional Japanese oil. Its consistency is akin to Japanese oil and so it coats the metal surfaces evenly without beading. So far, I’m very pleased with this product and the reassurance it’s use, gives me.
