I’m more than pleased with this Dremel Workstation!
I have to admit that my wife bought me this for my Christmas present, but I thought it wise to make sure everything was in the box and working fine before the big day arrived. I’m relieved to say that all parts were in perfect condition, assembly was straight forward, and the unit performed excellently. I did a few trial runs (using my Dremel 3000) by drilling through some pieces of wood and steel and cutting through some 2mm brass plate - with no issues at all. I was impressed with the overall build quality of the station, it remained firmly in place, and allowed me to smoothly and accurately drill holes. My only criticism is in regard to the included assembly/operation instruction booklet - it’s not very good! This is why I would advise purchasers to jump onto YouTube and check out the two excellent videos produced by Russell Platten. By following his tutorials I was able to assemble the workstation quickly and without any fuss, and get the most out of its useful features. Anyway, the bottom line is that if you want to extend the uses of your Dremel, then this workstation will enable you to do that. Oh, and if you haven’t already done so, do yourself a favour and fit a keyless multi chuck to your rotary tool - you can purchase one for just a few quid and it makes the task of changing out those accessory bits so much easier.

Hi quality Dremel small pillar drill for Dremel 8220 series Drills
Dremal pillar drill I required to drill 0.03mm and was very impressed it was easy to set up and accurate I will find it very useful it has the option to rotate the drill to a horizontal position which is helpful for fitting small drill into the chuck which is very helpful

Great bit of kit but a nightmare to assemble
A great piece of kit and a useful addition to the dremel hand tool BUT it was almost impossible to remove the black plastic cap ends on the main telescopic shaft pole. The instruction manual was of very little use. We were pretty sure the ends had to be removed. I tried several times and failed. My husband tried several times and failed. We then watched a video on how to assemble the work station to be sure we were doing the right thing. The guy in the video also had a real problem removing one of the ends. Eventually when we were sure the ends should come off we used a loose vice to help pull them off. Assembly after that was very straight forward. A spanner (not included) is required to secure the shaft pole to the base. The video was well worth watching and was very useful (easy to find on google). A small spanner for securing the dremmel is included and has its own holder on the tool cage. The work station has some nice features (which are listed on web sites so I wont go through them here). It was a fair price. Worth 5 stars if the plastic caps had been easier to remove.

Makes much more of your Dremel rotary tool!
This workstation is essentially a drill press stand for your Dremel rotary tool, except with a couple of added features. It comes in the box in a few pieces which you need to assemble. If you own a Dremel rotary tool and actually use it, you must be a fairly practical, hands on person and therefore should have no trouble assembling the workstation. It takes less than ten minutes. Once assembled, you just remove the collar from the rotary tool and insert it into the mount on the workstation, then screw the large plastic nut around the end of the rotary tool by hand, before tightening it with the supplied spanner (no need to over tighten). Simples. The power cable can be clipped securely at the top of the workstation. The arm to lower the rotary tool is very smooth and well controlled. Some users have reported that there is a little play in the device, resulting in poor accuracy. I can confirm that there is a small amount of play, but it doesn't cause a problem unless maybe you were drilling PCBs and needed very, very precise control over positioning. However, if you need such precise control, then you ought to punch the PCB before you drill, which will prevent the bit from wandering on the board. You may wonder if you should have to do that if you are buying this workstation. This is a sub £40 workstation and does not pretend to be a £150 rotary tool press. If you need such precision, then you need to be realistic and pay for the privilege. There are such devices available, but at no where near the price of the Dremel workstation. Now that's cleared up, I can tell you that I am very impressed with this workstation. It's compact and light. It is balanced enough to stand upright in operation without falling. However, you can easily mount it to your workbench using the bolt holes - M6 bolts will work fine (length obviously depending on what you are mounting it to). One feature of this workstation that makes it different to a drill press is the ability to reposition the angle of the rotary tool - in fact, the whole mount rotates, up to 90 degrees, in 15 degree increments This allows you to drill at an angle or even sideways. It also allows you to use the rotary tool as a very mini bench grinder or polisher. This can be useful for using a polishing wheel to buff small items. At the top of the workstation is a very handy storage device - you can store plenty of accessories to swap out during your work. There is a clip to hold the cable in place, out of harm's way and even a home for the included spanner. In the photo you may notice a thin metal arm that hangs off the top. This is to hand your rotary tool from when you are using the flexible attachment (if you have one). This Dremel workstation is a fantastic product. It does what it says it does very well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a Dremel rotary tool.

Great bit of kit
This is a nicely designed and made piece of kit. It is light weight but seems more than strong enough for the light pressures that are applied when using a Dremel. It has good features like the drill depth stop, and adjustable angles for drilling. I have used it today for drilling some pebbles, using diamond tipped bits, and it was great for that as it was very easy to maintain continuous light pressure to grind through them. It was easy to set up the workstation even though, as others have said, the instructions are not brilliant. The only thing it lacks is a vice or other means of holding pieces that you are working on.

Worthwhile addition for your Dremel
Easy to assemble and quite a solid feel when using it. I liked having the ability to rotate the tool to enable detailed sanding and polishing. It makes those tasks so much easier to carry out and I keep questioning why I took so long to get one. Just go ahead and buy one, it's a game changer!

Well made workstation. It would be better if a simple base clamp system be provided as well.

Handige stevige standaard voor dremel. Montage voorschrift was niet echt aanwezig maar was niet ingewikkeld.
